Jon Stewart

Stewart Slams Limbaugh And Robertson Over Haiti Comments

And the “ultra-Liberal” John Stewart even went after Rachael Maddow on comments she made. This is a great run down of the politicization of the horrible disaster.

The takedown of Pat Robertson was absolutely perfect.

Hannity Says “I’m Sorry” And Hell Has Frozen Over

Spending the day yesterday on the Veterans Day Project, I missed out on a lot of great stories (though I believe the cause was worth it). One of the big stories was how Jon Stewart totally eviscerated Sean Hannity for using fake footage to inflate the numbers of last week’s Tea Party protest outside of Capital Hill. Here is the clip from The Daily Show:

And then here is the point in time when the four horsemen road in, signaling that the apocalypse has already started

I am waiting for tonight when Hannity will probably apologize for apologizing.

Blame The Comedian

Richard Cohen has decided it’s time to defend Jim Cramer:

What Jon Stewart needs is Jon Stewart. He could use a droll comedian to temper his ferocity and correct him when he's wrong, as he was about the financial media, particularly CNBC and its excitable analyst Jim Cramer. They didn't cover up the story of financial shenanigans. They didn't even know it existed.

Oh well that makes it all better then. No wonder why CNBC, along with NBC and MSNBC spent the entire day last Friday setting the record straight and talking about how wrong Stewart was.

Whaaaaat? That never happened?

Well then why in the hell did the NBC networks just ignore what happened on the Daily Show? Perhaps the answer is simple – Stewart was right!

And when you read people like Cohen, you also get a real sense of why the Washington Post is suffering serious financial hardships right now.

Cramer Blows Off Scarborough

I guess Cramer couldn’t handle his spanking yesterday and ended up pulling a no-show on Morning Joe today:

As Michael Calderone notes, yesterday on Twitter, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough wrote that he would have the “exclusive Jim Cramer interview tomorrow morning to discuss tonight’s war with Jon Stewart.” But after the rough night, Scarborough wrote this morning that Cramer was a no-show:

No Cramer. Perhaps another example of oversleeping. Guess he had a late night. That is too bad. Producers told he was only talking to us.

I think the entire media needs to take a look at what happened last night. This is how you ask questions, and it was done by a comedian. Jon Stewart’s interview capabilities show up any of the media insiders. Here’s the cream of the crop from last night.

Stewart Face to Face With Cramer

The climax hit last night when Jim Cramer appeared on The Daily Show. Bob has all three parts of the interview up. Be sure to check them out.

Jon Stewart Not Backing Down

Not like there was any question, but he had another night of eviscerating Jim Cramer with a bonus hit on Joe Scarborough.

Friday Funny

Jon Stewart has some fun with the hypocrisy on the right going on now over Obama’s presidency.

To Mary Katharine Ham: [Expletive] You!

Mary Katharine Ham of The Weekly Standard is up in arms because Jon Stewart told an audience he would like to say "Fuck you" to Sarah Palin in response to her "pro-America parts of the country" comment. Even more disturbing is that she is trying to equate the punchline of a comedian to the calls of violence at McCain/Palin rallies:

The media has devoted hundreds of stories of late to the tenor of audience comments at McCain-Palin rallies, fretting about "rage" and "incitement" by the campaign, but the only account of Stewart's appearance is a one-sentence mention in the Boston Globe, and his abusive Palin comments are not included.

So saying "fuck you" is the equivalent of shouting "kill him"? This really shows how intellectually challenged the people on the right are. And basically Palin did say "fuck you" to people who aren't in her "pro-America parts of the country". That's just a fact and a lot of people feel the same way.
