EXCLUSIVE: Mitt Romney Behind Anti-Islam Movie

Posted 9/13/12 at 2:37pm by jamie

Mitt Romney was looking for a reason to attack Barack Obama on the grounds of foreign policy. He knew that after the killing of Osama bin Laden and the ending of the war in Iraq that he needed a silver bullet, and he now got it.

It turns out that Mitt Romney was behind the anti-Islam movie that has sparked the uprising in the Middle East. He played his cards and did so with great prestige. The film sparked the outrage that Romney was looking for and the results couldn't be better. He even showed that during his press conference yesterday:

That was Mitt smirking yesterday after blaming Obama for the problems in the Middle East.

So how credible is this information?

Well it isn't. See I have decided to play the conspiracy theory game that the right loves engaging in. Take Republican leader, Rush Limbaugh, yesterday, when he said this:

What if Ayman al-Zawahiri gave up Osama bin Laden for the express purpose of making Obama look good? Giving Obama stature, political capital?”

The justification would be so that Obama can help further the cause of al Qaeda. Media Matters has the audio available to hear for yourself.

But I'm just a little blog. I don't get much traffic or have much influence, unlike Limbaugh. Limbaugh has a cult like following that would take this conspiracy and turn it into fact. Within days we can expect to see those pictures on Facebook making this claim as fact. The minions on the right will repeat it as gospel, believing it is fact. The problem is that it isn't, just like the story I posted above.

Quick Site Update

Posted 1/10/12 at 11:52am by jamie

I'm tweaking the site design some, trying to make it more readable in mobile devices. I'm trying to keep with a simplistic approach that leverages the new features of the modern browsers. Things might be a little buggy for a day or two as I keep tweaking, but it should be much better in the long run.

Thanks for your understanding!

Chase Gets Man Thrown In Jail Because Of An Incompetent Teller

Posted 7/8/11 at 10:46am by jamie

This story has to be one of the most disturbing things I have read in a long time:

Ikenna, a 28-year old construction worker, went to deposit a $8,463.21 Chase cashier's check at his local Chase branch, only for the teller to decide that neither he nor his check looked right and he got tossed in jail for forgery, KING5 reports. The next day, a Friday the bank realized its mistake and left a message with the detective. But it was her day off, so he spent the entire weekend in jail.

By the time he got out, he had been fired from his job for not showing up to work. His car had been towed as well. It ended up getting sold off at auction because he couldn't afford to get it out of the pound. He had been relying on that cashier's check for his money but it was taken as evidence and by the time he got it back it was auctioned off.

All this while the cashier's check had been issued by the very bank he was trying to cash it at.

Only after this story went public and an attorney wrote a scathing letter to Chase, did they decide it was time to apologize. This is another example of the corporations ruling the over citizens and it goes against everything that America was founded on. Hopefully this victim can file a lawsuit against Chase and recover some of what he loss.

Intoxination On Drupal 7

Posted 3/6/11 at 8:14pm by jamie

You may have noticed some subtle changes. Today I upgraded IntoxiNation to the latest version of Drupal - Drupal 7. I still have a lot to do and things may seem a little wonky, but the big job of getting the database all updated is over with. Things like the Blogroll and other features will slowly start to come back in the coming days. If you notice any bugs, please leave a comment in this post. Thanks!

Yes They Really Are That Dumb

Posted 11/27/10 at 8:50am by jamie

idiocracy1Remember when the right thought Stephen Colbert was the real deal? They believed he was really a right wing comedian/commentator and couldn’t seem to understand that his whole routine is making fun of the right. Well those righties haven’t become any smarter since then:

Fox News' opinion website Fox Nation and their readers don't seem to know satire when they see it.

The Fox News sister site re-posted a joke from the satirical website The Onion Friday about President Barack Obama sending a 75,000-word e-mail to the the entire nation. At no point does Fox Nation note that the story is a satire.

The Onion story joked that Obama had "reached the end of [his] rope" and sent out the "rambling" stream of consciousness e-mail that addressed everything from the war in Afghanistan to his live-in mother-in-law.

At this rate the right will make the movie Idiocracy become a reality.

Quote Of The Day

Posted 11/24/10 at 7:55am by jamie

NBC Miami has a report of a man pulled off a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Denver for making too many bathroom trips. This part of the article has me cracking up:

It's unclear if this is was classified as a terror alert yellow or brown, but authorities took it seriously enough to evacuate the plane.

That line right there is a total win. At least we can laugh over the craziness going on with airline travel.

Sharron Angle Style Debt Collection

Posted 10/14/10 at 7:39am by jamie

149582346_3b161a6080 Remember bartering with chickens for health care? Well it seems like a bank has taken that advice to a whole new level when it comes to debt collection:

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia (Reuters Life!) - This little piggy went to market -- to pay off a Russian woman's overdue debt to a bank.

Court officers in far eastern Russia have seized a piglet from a woman who owes a bank 13,000 roubles ($432) and put it up for sale to recuperate some of the money, the regional branch of the Federal Bailiffs Service said on Thursday.

The woman had been given the seven-month-old piglet for safekeeping, but it was taken away after a court survey of her property found it to be her most valuable possession, the bailiffs service said in a statement.

Notice though that this occurred in Russia. Who knew that Tea Party darlings were so aligned with the Ruskies?
