Or “Bush’s Legacy”.

The House Democrats have put out a chart comparing the economy between today and 1/20/01, when Bush took over. The entire chart is very interesting, but there is one section that really caught my eye.

Look at those numbers and think about them (click the image to see the larger/full chart). Americans are making an average of $1,100 less than they were six years ago, yet insurance premiums have almost doubled, and gas prices have more than doubled. The chart doesn’t even go into other items such as home energy costs, food costs and everything else.

The problem is the Republicans tell you that they will cut your taxes and you might save $1,000 a year. Well that is nice but when your making $1,100 less a year then your already in the hole $100, and that don’t even take into account all the rising costs. No thanks to those tax cuts. I would rather pay $1,000 more in taxes and make $1,100 more and pay 1/2 on everything else. That is simple mathematics right there.

The point of this is that the Republicans care nothing about the economy as it pertains to you and me. They care about the economy as it pertains to the upper 1%. That should be criminal. This chart needs to be included in every single Democratic campaign ad. Let people see how George Bush and his entire party has lied us into the poor house, then the people will make the right choice in November.
