During the holidays, I was getting so frustrated. Every time I turned on MSNBC or CNN, I was greeted with a repeat. Something sounds wrong with turning on a NEWS channel and seeing re-runs. If I wanted re-runs, I would stick to watching prime-time network television, but MSNBC and CNN have turned to that same path.
Now the re-runs aren't so bad, but right now on MSNBC is this:
Don't get me wrong here. This is a great story, but they were found 24 hours ago. It is no longer breaking news. This news conference was a replay of the one from this morning. Can they at least remove the "breaking news" titles from it?
During these aggravations, I have found myself turning on FOX more and more. They aren't claiming this is "breaking news" and during MSNBC's and CNN's holiday hiatus, well FOX was running new shows (even though they had their typical right wing slant).
If MSNBC and CNN ever want to pull ahead from FOX, then they need to ditch the re-runs. MSNBC has to learn that the news does not stop at 10pm every night. CNN must learn that spending 2 hours talking about Oprah is not news. In other words - do your damn jobs if you want to succeed.
