Allen West Channels Joe McCarthy

Posted 4/11/12 at 2:06pm by jamie

The very serious Allen West, one of those on the short list for VP on the Republican ticket, made a very familiar claim for this who remember some of the last century:

As many as 80 House Democrats are communists, according to Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.).

West warned constituents at a Tuesday town hall event that he's "heard" that dozens of his Democratic colleagues in the House are members of the Communist Party, the Palm Beach Post reported. West wouldn't elaborate beyond that, however, and didn't offer up any names. There are currently 190 House Democrats.

Really? Well why not release the names then? Maybe because he has totally made that up.

All the GOP has to offer is fear. They don't have any plans or visions, so why not scare up the votes? It's truly disgusting to see our political discourse return to that of the 50s. I just wonder how the GOP would react if a Democrat was out there saying "I heard as many as 80 House Republicans are members of NAMBLA (North American Man, Boy Love Association)?" With former members like Mark Foley, that could very well be the truth!!!!!!!

And for some exit fun, here's who Allen West is trying to be. Not a very good role model, Allen!

More Proof - Google Is Superior

Posted 2/1/06 at 11:26pm by jamie

With all the talk of Google refusing to hand over search records to the
government, here is a story to remind us of why Google is far superior to Yahoo.

Shi Tao, a Chinese journalist, is serving a ten-year prison sentence in
China for sending an email to the USA. He was accused of “illegally
providing state secrets to foreign entities” by using his Yahoo email
account.

According to the court transcript of the evidence that led to Shi Tao’s
sentencing, the US internet company Yahoo provided account-holder
information on him.

Shi Tao was accused of sending an email summarizing an internal Communist
Party directive to a foreign source. The Communist Party directive had
warned Chinese journalists of possible social unrest during the anniversary
of the June 4 Movement (in memory of the Tiananmen crackdown), and directed
them not to fuel it via media reports.

The amazing part is how Yahoo gets involved in items like this or handing
over search records but when issues of child pornography comes up they turn the
other cheek. Le me make it simple - if you want e-mail get Gmail. If you want to
IM get Google Talk. If you want a customized home page, Google has that. If you
want to start a blog then Blogger is the place for you (which is owned by
Google). Stop using Yahoo because you never know what they will do next.
