McCain's Other Pastor Problem

Posted 5/22/08 at 9:25am by jamie

Good Morning America did a big report about McCain's spiritual adviser, Rod Parsley. Parsley has called for the destruction of the Muslim world, and they know it. Here's the clip:

So we got one of his pastors calling for the destruction of the Muslim world, while his other pastor is praising Hitler as doing "God's work" for killing millions of Jews. This is hatred in the worst form, and John McCain refuses to denounce it. Oh and let's not forget what Hagee has said about Catholics.

Since McCain refuses to denounce this stuff, I guess he embraces these views. Why don't he go ahead and put on the funny white hat and burn some crosses while he's at it?

Sweet Justice - Westboro Baptist Looses Lawsuit

Posted 10/31/07 at 8:06pm by jamie

Fred Phelps and his "God hates fags" crowd might end up going broke:

A jury on Wednesday ordered an anti-gay Kansas church to pay $10.9 million in damages to relatives of a U.S. Marine who died in Iraq after church members cheered his death at his funeral.

Church members said Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder's death was God's punishment of America for tolerating homosexuality, and they attended his 2006 funeral in Maryland with signs saying "You're going to hell" and "God hates you."

The federal jury determined the Westboro Baptist Church, based in Topeka, and three of its principals invaded the privacy of the dead man's family and inflicted emotional distress.

Albert Snyder, the Marine's father, testified that his son was not gay, but the church targeted the military as a symbol of America's tolerance of gays. Matthew Snyder died in combat in Iraq in March 2006.

This opens up an interesting question to those trying for the Republican nomination. Do you support this ruling? They are so for tort reform and hate these kind of lawsuits, so will they side with the hatred of Phelps or will they back our troops? I wonder if we can find a debate moderator to ask that.

Rep. Rohrabacher Wants American Families Attacked!

Posted 4/24/07 at 11:32am by jamie

That is exactly what this Republican disgusting excuse for an American said in the halls of our Congress.

At one point, Rohrabacher argued that imprisoning and torturing one innocent person was a fair price to pay for locking up 50 terrorists who would “go out and plant a bomb…and kill 20,000 people.” When members of the audience groaned, Rohrabacher said, “Well, I hope it’s your families, I hope it’s your families that suffer the consequences.”

Check out the video at Think Progress, and then contact his office and demand he issue an apology to the American people for such a disgusting display of hatred towards people who rightfully dissent in our country:

Washington, DC 20515

This display of hatred towards the American people is no better than that by the terrorists. This will be a key issue next year when Rohrabacher faces re-election.

O'Reilly Is Off His Meds

Posted 4/6/07 at 7:44am by jamie

I guess this explains why O'Reilly has the top ratings. No matter how disturbing, everyone has to look at that bloody car wreck:

I usually don't defend Geraldo, but he deserves it this time. The issue was about a drunk driver that happened to be an illegal immigrant. O'Reilly wouldn't have become so billegerant if this person was an American citizen.

O'Reilly isn't the only one that acts like this on crimes where illegal immigrants are involved. This entire immigration debate has sparked this kind of hatred all over the country. Right here in southern Ohio, we had a major incident of it two years ago, which gained national attention. A 9 year old girl was sexually assaulted by an illegal immigrant. This crime resulted in the KKK marching and the assailants house being burned by angry citizens. But at the same time about 20 miles away, another crime similar had happened, and you didn't see public outrage like this.

In Cincinnati a 31 year old man was arrested for raping his 3 year old daughter. To make this horrible crime even worse, the man was doing the assaults on a webcam in Yahoo chat rooms. The KKK didn't march in protest to him and his house was not burned.

This is what our nation is devolving to - a nation of discrimination. We don't worry about the actual crime and how to prevent them, we worry about where they are from. That is really bad for a nation that was proudly created by immigrants.

Oliver Willis has much more.

The Syria Trip(s) Take A New Turn

Posted 4/5/07 at 1:44pm by jamie

Everyone has been blasting Pelosi for going to Syria, but there has been no critisism of Republicans doing the same. Today, Rep Darrell Issa (R-CA) is in Syria meeting with Damascus. Now Boehner is giving the Republican excuse of why Democrats can't go to Syria:

Boehner declined to criticize [fellow Republican Rep. David Hobson] for joining Pelosi, saying her stature gave the visit an imprimatur it didn’t deserve.

“It’s one thing for other members to go,” Boehner said, “but you have to ask yourself, ‘Why is Pelosi going?’ She’s going for one reason and that is to embarrass the president. She is the speaker of the House. She’s giving (the Syrian) government more credit than they deserve. They sponsor terrorism. They have not been at all helpful. I wish she wasn’t there.”

There you got it - the old Republican double standard. Boehner showed his true colors. He believes that Republicans should have the only say in our government and Democrats shouldn't. John Boehner has once again proven his hatred for democracy.

Malkin Shows Her Hand

Posted 3/9/07 at 9:11am by jamie

I posted the other day about the letter that was sent to CPAC from some right wing blogs regarding Ann Coulter. These bloggers took a stand against Coulter's hate speech. Of course the right wing darling, Michelle Malkin, was missing from that list. She did a quick little show of outrage over the incident once it gained some publicity, but I never bought it at all, so I was not surprised that her name was absent from the list.

Now she is using the story of Matt Sanchez, right wing darling and gay porn star, to defend Ann Coulter. Think Progress has the run down of Malkin's latest show of idiocy. Malkin posted this on her blog to try and "show the hatred of liberals":

I said the other day I thought CPAC organizers would be justified in being embarrassed if the rumors about Sanchez’s porn star past 15 years ago turned out to be true. Well, the rumors are true. But it is neither CPAC nor Cpl. Sanchez who should feel embarrassed.

It’s the nasty, gloating liberals who claim to stand for tolerance, privacy, human rights, and compassion. I predicted the other day that left-wing bigotry would rear its ugly head. I was right. The e-mail I’ve received is more disgusting than anything Ann Coulter stupidly said at CPAC.

It is amazing how Malkin always get's some mysterious email proving her point. Does she really think we are that blinded by her? Are her readers really so gullible as to fall for that?

The Republicans Are Right - Foley's Problem Is Because He Is Gay (Update Below The Fold)

Posted 10/3/06 at 2:05pm by jamie

Since this whole Foley thing opened up, I have realized that the Republicans are right. They are right when they say the problem with Foley is his being gay. Of course the reason for me agreeing with the Republicans is probably not what they would expect.

For years it has been “rumored” that Foley was gay. He would never publicly comment on it. His sexual preference became more agreed upon across the aisle only after his lewd messages with young male pages was uncovered. Interesting how it takes such a scandal to make people agree.

So why did the Republicans get this one right? Well it is very simple. They are right because it is their own hatred towards gays that prevent people like Mark Foley from living an open life that they had chosen. They can not come out and be openly gay because that would cause them to be shunned by their party. Instead they have to live with this secret and when you have to live with something like that as a secret, you might as well have other secrets.

This is not something I have just come up with; this is a trend that the evidence already points to. Remember Mayor Jim West of Spokane? He was a Republican hero as he championed against gay marriage, only to later find out he was gay and accusations arose of him even having sex with minors.

Bush Proving Osama Right

Posted 4/2/06 at 5:16pm by jamie

"When the infidels come they will never leave". That is what Osama said in the 90's when our government solicited Saudi Arabia to help fight Iraq prior to the first Gulf War. Well the actions of the U.S. and the U.K. are making it look more like Osama was right all along:

The Pentagon has revealed that coalition forces are spending millions of dollars establishing at least six "enduring" bases in Iraq - raising the prospect that US and UK forces could be involved in a long-term deployment in the country. It said it assumed British troops would operate one of the bases.

Almost ever since President Bush claimed an end to "major combat operations" in Iraq on 1 May 2003, debate has focused on how quickly troops could be withdrawn. The US and British governments say troops will remain in Iraq "until the job is done". Yet while the withdrawal of a substantial number of troops remains an aim, it has become increasingly clear that the Pentagon and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) are preparing to retain some forces in Iraq for the longer term. The US currently has around 130,000 troops in Iraq; Britain has 8,000.

Major Joseph Breasseale, a senior spokesman for the coalition forces' headquarters in Iraq, told The Independent on Sunday: "The current plan is to reduce the coalition footprint into six consolidation bases - four of which are US. As we move in that direction, some other bases will have to grow to facilitate the closure [or] transfer of smaller bases."

First Bush said we are not in the business of "nation building". Well that has since proven to be false. Now he intends to have bases built in Iraq to show the Muslim world that we are there to stay. This will do nothing but help al Qaeda recruit even more into their masses and provoke the Middle East as a whole into hatred of the west.

Bush = Osama

Posted 1/26/06 at 12:29am by jamie

This just proves how deep the hatred of the far right goes:

In a reversal of policy, the United States on Monday backed an Iranian
initiative to deny United Nations consultative status to organizations
working to protect the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT)
people. In a letter to Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, a coalition of 39
organizations, led by the Human Rights Campaign, Human Rights Watch, the
International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, and the National Gay
and Lesbian Task Force, called for an explanation of the vote which aligned
the United States with governments that have long repressed the rights of
sexual minorities.

Don't worry about nuclear weapons George, the gay community could get some
rights and that is a bigger threat. This goes to prove the point that the ideals
of terrorists is the same as the ideals of George W. Bush.

Hannity Don't Care About Veterans

Hannity to guest: "I don't care about
your thoughts" on Iraq veterans protesting the war

On the September 26 edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, co-host Sean
Hannity interrupted Global Exchange human rights director Ted Lewis's
discussion of Iraq war veterans protesting the war. Hannity declared, "I
don't care about your thoughts. You can tell them to [co-host] Alan [Colmes]."

From the September 26 edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes:

HANNITY: Well, that's pretty much what [anti-war protester] Cindy Sheehan
has been saying: America is not worth dying for, that it's been taken over
by thugs. America without the Internet would be a fascist state. Are you
willing to align yourself with all that radical extremism?

LEWIS: Well, good evening, Sean.

HANNITY: Good evening.

LEWIS: You know, I saw kind of a different protest out there. There were
a lot of things going on. It really affected me to see so many Iraq veterans
out there marching in front of the White House, talking about their
experiences and why they're disillusioned with this policy. You know, it's
--

HANNITY: All right, Ted, I honestly, I'm not really -- I don't care about
your thoughts. You can tell them to Alan. I'm not asking you that.

The Fears of a Crusade

Posted 7/10/05 at 3:47am by jamie

The times are getting darker. We are in a war that we never
imagined and our country is strongly divided, not only by political but also
religious lines. There is a tension in the air of America that I have not felt
before and I don’t think many others have. We are in a time where we hear about
growing corruption in government and reduction in social services. It leaves you
with a sense of once great nation that is now in great peril.

Once the dust settled down from the falling towers in New
York City, and people were reassessing their lives, one question came to
everyone’s mind; why do they hate us? Throughout the course of time and debates
since that horrific September morning, no question merits more need to a
truthful answer than that.

We have all heard reasoning behind the attacks, including
analysis of the hate that Osama Bin Laden and his faithful followers have for
us. Our President even said they hated us because of our freedoms. That would
seem to lead to more of a envy than a hatred though, especially when we allow
them to live here.

Once we invaded Iraq, it became clearer to me why they may
hate us. It is not because we live free and have a wonderful life in America.
It’s not because we are a rich nation in which most citizens are overweight and
we can live on such things as Big Macs and Whoppers. You can also dismiss the
notion that their hate stems in part from our great entertainment.

So why is it they hate us so much? It is because Americans
have a sense of infallibility and a tendency to force their beliefs onto others.
