Dick Morris Thinks People Should Die In Name Of Party!

Posted 11/7/12 at 6:19pm by jamie

Dick Morris has to be one of the sickest fucks on the planet. Here he is, giving one of his reasonings for Romney's loss:

But the more proximate cause of my error was that I did not take full account of the impact of hurricane Sandy and of Governor Chris Christie’s bipartisan march through New Jersey arm in arm with President Obama. Not to mention Christe's fawning promotion of Obama's presidential leadership.

Really? Christie is a smart man and I'm sure he knew that this would not help his political future in the party that shuns anyone who might appear to reach across the aisle. But that wasn't what Christie was thinking about. Instead he saw his state in ruins and saw the leader of our country come to help out. All the while, the man that wanted to lead our country was out worrying about only his future.

So what would have made Dick happier? Well if Christie denied Obama's help and let the people of his state continue to suffer and die, all in the name of Romney.

In other words, Dick feels that the hurricane should have been turned into nothing more than a political issue. Who else would do such a thing? Well, terrorist organizations are great for this. That's exactly how Hezbollah acts. So there you have it, Dick Morris and Fox News have now crossed the line into radical Islam. Great job guys!

OMG! We Have Been Taken Over By Terrorists!

Last night Miss Michigan, Rima Fakih, was crowned Miss USA. Fakih is a Lebanese-American and the first Muslim to ever win the crown. Needless to say the right is up in arms over this. Here’s a list of responses compiled by Think Progress:

– Conservative radio host Debbie Schlussel blamed Fakih’s win on a supposed “politically correct, Islamo-pandering climate” in America and labeled her a “Lebanese Muslim Hezbollah supporter with relatives who are top terrorists.” [5/16/10]

– Right wing pundit and Fox contributor Michelle Malkin ranted that “Fakih’s cheerleaders are too busy tooting the identity politics horn to care what comes out of her mouth” and that “the Miss USA pageant didn’t want to risk the wrath of the open-borders mob.” [5/16/10]

– Conservative author Daniel Pipes, who was briefly appointed by former President George W. Bush to the U.S. Institute of Peace, opined that “this surprising frequency of Muslims winning beauty pageants makes me suspect an odd form of affirmative action.” [5/16/10]

– Fox News’s Gretchen Carlson complained that Woolard’s “informed opinion” may have cost her the crown, and said that Fakih may have won because we live in a “PC society.” [5/17/10]

Haiti Isn’t Just A Humanitarian Effort, It’s A National Security Issue

Posted 1/14/10 at 7:34pm by jamie

Hearing more and more people from the tea party crowd and right argue that we shouldn’t help out Haiti is truly appalling. We aren’t talking about some unknown nation on the other side of the globe. We are talking about our neighbors, separated by only 300 miles of ocean. For me I think of it as the distance from Cincinnati to Chicago.

So what would happen if the United States decided to ignore the disaster? First we would be looking at widespread disease. Getting trapped people out of the rubble is imperative to prevent the spread of disease. If we don’t prevent that now, then we will see this disease start spreading throughout the Caribbean, and then it will only be a matter of time before it hits our shores.

Of course problems such as widespread disease customarily leads to a refugee problem. When it comes to life and death, that 300 miles isn’t far at all. So this would also open up a new immigration problem. The same people arguing to not help Haiti are the same people who cringe at immigration. Think of the costs associated with opening up a larger front on the immigration battle.

Even more troubling would be something I like to call the Hezbollah model. Basically this would entail some terrorist organization going in to help the Haitians. Now you might think this is something confined to the Middle East, but there are terrorist organizations operating in South America, and they love looking for ways to get new followers.

So these terrorist organizations go in and help out the Haitians. The people are indebted to them for their “kindness”. The terrorists now have new friends, but worse yet, they have friends with relatives in the United States. Welcome to the new al Qaeda like terrorist group – one a states distance from our shores.

And give a Power Point presentation of all these secret nuclear facilities in Iran?

In an echo of the intelligence wars that preceded the U.S. invasion of Iraq, a high-stakes struggle is brewing within the Bush administration and in Congress over Iran's suspected nuclear weapons program and involvement in terrorism.

U.S. intelligence and counterterrorism officials say Bush political appointees and hard-liners on Capitol Hill have tried recently to portray Iran's nuclear program as more advanced than it is and to exaggerate Tehran's role in Hezbollah's attack on Israel in mid-July.

The struggle's outcome could have profound implications for U.S. policy.

President Bush, who addresses the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, has said he prefers diplomacy to stop Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, but he hasn't ruled out using military force.

If you just switch the N in Iran with a Q, you got 2003 all over again. In fact there is very little change. In 2003, Bush kept saying the same thing about "wanting diplomacy to work", right up till the first bomb dropped in Baghdad. Since then we have all learned that no matter what, Bush was going to war with Iraq.

Here's the question. If this Iran threat is so urgent, then why isn't the rest of the world helping to lead this fight? Why is it the U.S. has to once again be in charge. I believe the answer is very simple - because the U.S. is the only country run by such war mongers.

Clinton To Rumsfeld - "Testify"

Posted 8/2/06 at 6:35pm by jamie

Wow this is getting heated:

On the eve of a potentially contentious Senate hearing about the Iraq war, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton urged Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to testify before Congress, saying it's been too long without such an appearance.

Clinton, D-N.Y., is a member of the Armed Services Committee, and while she has criticized the administration's handling of the war, she has not called for Rumsfeld's resignation, as have other prominent Democrats.

"The American people should hear directly from you," Clinton wrote in a letter to Rumsfeld Wednesday, a day before the scheduled hearing.

She urged him to "reconsider your decision to decline testifying," saying "a public appearance before the committee is long overdue."

The top Republican and Democrat on the committee, Senators John Warner R-Va., and Carl Levin, D-Mich., asked Rumsfeld in a July 26 letter to appear before the committee, saying they had questions about Iraq, Afghanistan, and the recent violence in Lebanon between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.

Of course Rummy won't testify. Hell - he won't even respond to subpoenas. Of course he should come before Senate and testify.

Would Italy Be Allowed To Bomb Us?

Posted 7/31/06 at 3:24pm by jamie

Hezbollah enters Israel and kidnaps two of their soldiers and that justifies their reaction of bombing Lebanon to hell. So, does that mean Italy could attack us and it would be "justified"?

Shortly after Sept. 11, 2001, the CIA targeted for abduction and rendition nearly a dozen Muslims living in Italy whom it suspected of having ties to al-Qaida, a senior Italian intelligence official has told prosecutors in Milan.

Meanwhile, aircraft flight records suggest the possibility of the CIA's previously unsuspected involvement in the disappearance of Mohamed Morgan, an Islamist militant living in Milan now believed to be in an Egyptian prison.

The testimony about the CIA's target list was given in June by Gen. Gustavo Pignero, a senior official of the Italian intelligence agency, SISMI, to prosecutors investigating the disappearance of an Egyptian-born imam, Osama Mustafa Hassan Nasr, also known as Abu Omar.

Pignero's testimony is the first indication the CIA may have made far more extensive use than previously known of its paramilitary Special Operations Group to seize people suspected of terrorist links and render them without trial to Egypt and other Mideast countries for detention and interrogation.

After all, if the crossing of borders and conducting abductions on another country is reason to bomb someone, then Italy should be more than allowed to respond to the United States in such a manner.

That is the number of Lebanese children killed in an Israeli air strike this morning (or Bush's moment of "opportunity"):

An Israeli airstrike killed at least 50 people — more than half children — in a southern Lebanese village Sunday, the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice postponed a visit to Lebanon in a setback for diplomatic efforts to end hostilities.

Infuriated Lebanese officials said they had asked Rice to postpone the visit after Israel's missile strike. But Rice said she called Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora to say she would postpone the trip, and that she had work to do in Jerusalem to end the fighting.

The missiles destroyed several homes in the village of Qana as people were sleeping. Rescue officials said at least 50 people were killed, and the bodies of 27 children were found in the rubble.

Israeli said it targeted Qana because it was a base for hundreds of rockets launched at Israeli, including 40 that injured five Israelis on Sunday. Israel said it had warned civilians several days before to leave the village.

Other developments include:

There is no end in sight to this fighting and most experts are in agreement that the fighting is only strengthening Hezbollah.

We Get A Timeline

Posted 7/26/06 at 3:41am by jamie

And not in Iraq

NABATIYEH, Lebanon — The United States has given Israeli forces between 10 and 14 days to finish dealing Hezbollah "a strategic blow," a senior Israeli Foreign Ministry official told FOX News, as both Israeli forces and Hezbollah guerrillas continued to volley rockets across the Lebanon-Israel border.

While admitting that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is working at a "slow pace," the official insisted the plan was constructed out of concern for human life.

"We could do it much faster if we would be willing to inflict high civilian casualties," the official said. "The decision was made to move in a methodical, slow way."

A TIMELINE?!?!?!?! What kind of message is this sending these terrorists. Why they can just wait out Israel now and they win! How dare the Bush Administration resort to such things as timelines.

This just goes to prove how full of shit the Bush White House really is.

Hannity's Bogus Poll

Posted 7/24/06 at 3:54pm by jamie

Bowing down to Rick Santorum and placing his lips on Santorum's ass, Hannity has taken the lead in suck ups for lies this year. On his site hannity.com, Hannity ran the following poll:

hannitypoll.jpg

This of course follows Santorum talking about the WMDs found in Iraq. Of course what Santorum and Hannity both fail to mention is that these were the weapons from the early 90's that were essentially destroyed. These are the same weapons that we have known about and the U.N. weapons inspectors even admitted being destroyed. This is the typical style of lies these warmongers will resort to in order to win elections. They want to try and scare Americans into voting for Republicans when in fact these are the biggest pussies in the country.

Another interesting poll running on Hannity's site right now asks "Do you think Israel is justified in attacking Hezbollah?" Interesting results in that one. Currently 74% of the respondents say Israel has gone to far. I am sure the webmasters at Hannity's site will quickly change those numbers around to something more right wing sounding.

Buckley Speaks

Posted 7/23/06 at 8:04pm by jamie

CBS' Thalia Assuras had an interview with William F. Buckley, the father of modern conservatism, last night and he had some sharp words about Bush:

Buckley finds himself parting ways with President Bush, whom he praises as a decisive leader but admonishes for having strayed from true conservative principles in his foreign policy.

In particular, Buckley views the three-and-a-half-year Iraq War as a failure.

"If you had a European prime minister who experienced what we've experienced it would be expected that he would retire or resign," Buckley says

That is rather harsh coming from a conservative like Buckley. It is also symbolic of what we are seeing in the U.K. this year, where Tony Blair is expected to be pushed out first of the year.

Buckley still sees failures with Iraq:

Asked if the Bush administration has been distracted by Iraq, Buckley says "I think it has been engulfed by Iraq, by which I mean no other subject interests anybody other than Iraq... The continued tumult in Iraq has overwhelmed what perspectives one might otherwise have entertained with respect to, well, other parts of the Middle East with respect to Iran in particular."

And Buckley definitely parts ways with the new brand of conservatives of what to do with Iran:

Despite evidence that Iran is supplying weapons and expertise to Hezbollah in the conflict with Israel, Buckley rejects neo-conservatives who favor a more interventionist foreign policy, including a pre-emptive air strike against Iran and its nuclear facilities.

"If we find there is a warhead there that is poised, the range of it is tested, then we have no alternative. But pending that, we have to ask ourselves, 'What would the Iranian population do?'"

A Look At The Big Picture In The Middle East

Posted 7/22/06 at 3:11pm by jamie

Now that Israel is going into Lebanon and the fighting intensifies, will the U.S. be able to provide military assistance should it be needed? Well let's look at the other places our military is tied up in and see. First to Afghanistan:

The most senior British military commander in Afghanistan today described the situation in the country as "close to anarchy" with feuding foreign agencies and unethical private security companies compounding problems caused by local corruption.

The stark warning came from Lieutenant General David Richards, head of Nato's international security force in Afghanistan, who warned that western forces there were short of equipment and were "running out of time" if they were going to meet the expectations of the Afghan people.

The assumption within Nato countries had been that the environment in Afghanistan after the defeat of the Taliban in 2002 would be benign, Gen Richards said. "That is clearly not the case," he said today. He referred to disputes between tribes crossing the border with Pakistan, and divisions between religious and secular factions cynically manipulated by "anarcho-warlords".

So we are running short on supplies and man power in Afghanistan. Interesting, considering we are currently speeding up shipments of supplies to Israel:

The Bush administration is rushing a delivery of precision-guided bombs to Israel, which requested the expedited shipment last week after beginning its air campaign against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, American officials said Friday.

Cheney Is Quick To Exploit The Middle East Problems

Posted 7/21/06 at 11:31pm by jamie

Leave it to Cheney to find a way to exploit the devastation in the Middle East:

Vice President Dick Cheney on Friday pointed to the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah as fresh evidence of the ongoing battle against terrorism that underscores the need to keep President Bush's Republican allies in control of Congress.

"This conflict is a long way from over," Cheney said at a fundraising appearance for a GOP congressional candidate. "It's going to be a battle that will last for a very long time. It is absolutely essential that we stay the course."

Cheney's visit to Tampa helped raise about $200,000 for the campaign of Gus Bilirakis, a state legislator who is running for the Tampa Bay area congressional seat his father, Michael, is vacating.

"Gus is going to remember that the first order of business is to protect the American people and to support the men and women who defend us in time of war," Cheney told the audience at a $500-a-ticket fundraising reception. "There's still hard work ahead in the war on terror."

Cheney said that as Republicans make their case to voters in the midterm elections, "it's vital that we keep issues of national security at the top of the agenda." He faulted Democrats in Congress who have pushed for a timetable for withdrawing Americans from Iraq, saying that would send the wrong message to terrorists.

Yes Mr. Cheney - because we all know about Bush's "Roadmap to Peace". I believe history shows which party has a better track record when dealing with problems in the Middle East and how effective their diplomacy is. That sure as hell isn't Bush's party.

Causing Tensions With A New Generation

Posted 7/21/06 at 3:56pm by jamie

That is Israeli children signing a missile before it is fired off to Lebanon. It is the first picture seen on a new site fromisrael2lebanon.com. Following that is a series of grotesque pictures showing children and civilians in Lebanon that have been killed from the recent bombings.

The site at first appears to be taking a pro-Israel stand, but once you read through it you quickly realize that it is an attempt to get the bombing to stop. Seeing these children sign these missiles is very disturbing. It shows an attempt to keep tensions high for another generation and prolong the decades of conflict that have already engulfed the region.

Israel is showing their ignorance with this action. Think of Lebanese citizens seeing this. Those citizens may not have supported Hezbollah in the past, but they most likely will now. It is the same as the increasing tensions in Iraq, where our own Generals have even admitted that every time we kill an insurgent, three more are created.

This is the madness behind Hezbollah. Israel has fell right into their trap of overreacting to a situation and this will greatly increase the support Hezbollah gets from people in the region. As that support grows, the bloodshed and time of this conflict will also grow.

The rest of the world must come together and take action against both sides to stop this conflict. With every bomb dropped, both sides grow stronger. This will only lead to more death and destruction. The inactions of the world is the worst enemy right now.

Bush's Potty Mouth

Posted 7/17/06 at 12:21pm by jamie

With all the tensions in the Middle East, leave it to our President to have a little blunder that at least gives us some humor:

President Bush, not realizing his remarks were being picked up by a microphone, bluntly expressed his frustration with the actions of Hezbollah, a militant Islamic group believed backed by Iran and Syria that is engaged in escalating warfare with Israel.

"See the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this (expletive) and it's over," Bush told Blair in a discussion before the Group of Eight leaders began their lunch.

Bush also suggested that Annan call Syrian President Bashar Assad to "make something happen."

Hopefully someone has the actual audio of this to play, though the only expletive I can think of that would fit in there is "shit".

Now the serious part of this lies in Bush wanting to pass the buck to Annan on getting action stopped. Our administration has been relatively docile on the recent conflict. Former administrations would have already had an envoy in the region trying to calm things down.

here are rumors that Bush may send his father and Bill Clinton over there to help mediate things. Amazing how he must turn to that duo every time. I believe Clinton would be just as effective, if not more without Bush Sr. We are dealing with the part of the Arab world that is not to thrilled about Bushs as it is.

Every hour that goes by, this conflict gets more intense and the risk of Syria and Iran getting involved is even greater. Once that does happen, then the entire Middle East is in a war and the ramifications of that will be a shock around the world. We really need to get this situation under control fast. The more we sit and wait, the worse it will get.

Posted 7/13/06 at 7:31pm by jamie

Yesterday was a picnic in the Middle East in contrast to the situation today:

Israeli forces struck Beirut's international airport for the second time Thursday, hitting fuel tanks that exploded into fireballs.

The attack came soon after two rockets struck the northern Israeli port of Haifa on a day of spiraling violence and deepening crisis.

Israel Defense Forces said the Haifa rockets came from Lebanon and blamed the strike on Hezbollah, whose guerrillas triggered the violence when they attacked inside Israel on Wednesday, killing eight Israeli soldiers and capturing two more.

Daniel Ayalon, the Israeli ambassador to the United States, said the Haifa attack was "a major, major escalation."

Hezbollah earlier had threatened to hit Haifa, but Lebanese TV reported that the militant group denied launching the attack on the city of 280,000.

And for all of those out there who think this has no impact on us, think again. I just received the following news alert:

Oil prices settled at a new high of $76.70 a barrel Thursday in a response to escalating violence in the Middle East

I wonder how much longer before Israel gets to bogged down in this fighting and needs assistance from an ally like, oh I don't know, US. This situation is getting very bad and the entire Middle East is risking a threat of a total regional war. We have troops stuck dead in the middle of this and that situation will result in even higher oil prices. Hell - someday soon people will dream of the $3.00 a gallon days.
