Bill Clinton to the Rescue

Posted 7/13/05 at 12:09am by jamie

In 1992 when Bill Clinton became our President, he was
faced with a load of problems. The top two were a budget that was in a record
deficit and dealing with a post cold war world. While dodging almost every kind
of bullet the right shot at him, he succeeded in both.

It’s no secret the right had to go on the offensive and
start attacking him with everything from “shady” real estate deals right down to
a blow job. They went as far as voting for impeachment because of the President
lying under oath and committing perjury, something that Karl Rove may have done
and the right now views as a minor crime.

Now Reuters is reporting that Bill Clinton is holding a
private summit this September in order to deal with the woes that are facing
this world. They include everything from terrorism to poverty.

Here is the entire article as published via Yahoo and can
be viewed
here:

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton says he is intent on
finding ways the private sector can solve some of the world's most pressing
problems from poverty to terrorism.

As host of a meeting in New York later this year of private
and public sector leaders, Clinton said in an interview with Reuters on Tuesday
there are plenty of problems governments simply cannot address.

"What I'm trying to do is figure out what private sector
people can do," said Clinton, 58, who left office in 2001 after eight years in
the White House which saw the longest-ever U.S. economic expansion but were
dogged by personal scandal.

"It's unrealistic to think all the world's problems will be
solved only by government actions," he said at his home in suburban New York.

Poor Scotty

Well today sure had to be a rough day for old White House
Press Secretary Scott Mclellan. He was grilled for about 10 minuets on the
implications that Karl Rove was the leak that exposed Valerie Plames identity as
a CIA operative to the media.

In a sudden surge of courage, members of the press fired
away at old Scotty, and would not show any signs of backing down when he tried
to deny answering the question because it is under investigation. Scotty even
denied he ever made any comments regarding this matter as it could possible
interfere with the investigation.

When asked about his previous comments stating that Karl
Rove was innocent of any wrong doing, he reaffirmed the fact that he knows
exactly “what he has said” in the past and that he never commented on if Karl
Rove was guilty or innocent because of the ongoing investigation. Well after
some snooping through the White House website, I wanted to come up with some
evidence to support old Scott. Unfortunately there was none. What I did find was
the following:

From July 23, 2003:

QUESTION: Wilson now believes that the person who did this
was Karl Rove . . . Did Karl Rove tell that . . .

McCLELLAN: I haven't heard that. That's just totally
ridiculous. But we've already addressed this issue. If I could find out who
anonymous people were, I would. I just said, it's totally ridiculous.

QUESTION: But did Karl Rove do it?

McCLELLAN: I said, it's totally ridiculous.

From October 1, 2003:

QUESTION: Scott, you have said that you, personally, went
to Scooter Libby, Karl Rove and Elliot Abrams to ask them if they were the
leakers . . . Why did you do that, and can you describe the conversations you
had with them?

PlameGame Update

Posted 7/9/05 at 2:45am by jamie

It has been almost a week since the rumors started
surfacing on the internet that Karl Rove is indeed the person who ousted former
CIA agent Valerie Plame. Ironically this was not questioned once this week at
any of the White House press briefings.

The silence could only be a sign of keeping a lid on it due
to pending litigation. Rove’s lawyers have already been stating that he did not
“knowingly” disclose the identity of Valerie Plame. Coincidently that is the
same language that appears in the very law that protects their identity, which
could mean that Karl Rove did reveal her identity but didn’t know he was doing
so.

This case is going to get very interesting in the next week
or so. Rep. John Conyers has already prepared a letter to the White House
demanding that Karl Rove either answers the allegations or resigns. I can not
help but agree with that statement. If an officer of the law is under a criminal
investigation, he is placed on a paid administrative leave. Should this not be
more important for someone who has access to information pertinent to national
security, especially in this time of war?

The blogosphere has been on a constant chatter of this
story. The right wing is defending him by saying at most all he did was commit
an act of perjury. The hypocrisy in that is perjury was the same crime leading
to the impeachment of Bill Clinton. It was an intolerable crime when a Democrat
was in the White House, but now that the Right has control, perjury is not that
horrid of a crime. Goes to show you that lying is ok if they are the ones doing
it.

NEW RULE: Grow The Fuck UP!!!!!

First we heard of the hurt feelings of the Republican’s when Howard Dean
referred to them as being “pretty much a white Christian party”. Their feelings
egos got even more bruised as Dick Durbin said the following on the Senate
floor:

If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent
describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most
certainly believe this must have happened by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or
some mad regime – Pol Pot or others – that had no concern for human beings.
Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment
of their prisoners.

The Republican’s have been crying traitor, liberalist, communist and every
other politically decimating character you can think of. It has been the talk of
radio, television, newspapers and internet bloggers for the past couple weeks.

Last week the fires got hotter as Dick Cheney said that only Howard Dean’s
mother could lover him. It has now overflowed into this week with Republican
Representative Hostettler say’; “"Like a moth to a flame the Democrats can't
help themselves when it comes to denigrating and demonizing Christians" on the
house floor. Then comes Republican Represenative Wilson with his own attack; “is
just inconceivable and truly incorrigible that in the midst of the war, that the
Democratic leaders would be conducting guerrilla warfare on American troops...".
This is fuelling the media even more and keeping the story of the school yard
politician a float.

The Start of Our New Dictatorship (a time to be worried)

Posted 6/14/05 at 2:15am by jamie

Why should we be pissed? They are trying to take away our freedoms and put us
under a dictatorship. If you believe Bush legitimately won the 2000 and the 2004
election is neither here nor there. No matter what, you must admit that they
were “suspicious” to say the least. Now I have found during my surfing the net a
document that proves even more that our Government wants to steal away our
democracy and try to keep us under the control of the neo-cons of Karl Rove,
Dick Cheney, and all of those founding members of the New American Century.

What I am talking about is H.J.Resolution 24 which can be seen on the Library
of Congress site
here. This resolution is a one line, very simple and very
dangerous resolution. The body of the resolution is simple:

The twenty-second article of amendment to the Constitution of the United
States is repealed.

For those who are not up to buff on the Constitution may be at a loss as to
what the 22 amendment is, so let me refresh your memory.
