Leave it to Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit idiocy to even screw up a lie! Here's what Hoft is posting about the earthquake:

When you clickthe link above the image it takes you to the White House's President's schedule, which of course shows no public events today. Clicking the Yahoo link takes you to the source of the image, where we are presented with this caption:

The most interesting thing is that the photo was published a little 1:11 pm est. and Obama had already left. The earthquake happened at 1:51 pm est. 

So what was the President really doing? Well another thing the right loves to attack - he was golfing! If Hoft would have waited a little bit longer he could have published a factual story with the same impact to the wingnuts out there instead of some fake one. 

OK I have been pretty quiet on the confirmation hearings. I feel there are
enough other blogs out there giving play by play that my two cents aren't really
needed. I also feel like it is nothing more than a smoke screen. Even if
Democrats go against him, he will still go to Senate and we might have a
filibuster which will provoke the nuclear option. Its worse than a damn soap
opera.

Now my silence is being broken. This just really stomps me.

That woman crying in the background is Martha, Sam Alito's wife. It seems she
is upset and ended up leaving because she thought the Democrats were being so
rough on her husband. If she can not handle hearing the arguments then she
should of been warned and not shown up. This is nothing but a pure stunt to try
and gain support for her husband. These people go through high dollar coaches to
get ready for confirmation and they know it will involve some rather intense
questioning. If she did not know that then she either ignored the warnings and
never seen a confirmation hearing or is just plain stupid.

If they do filibuster Alito someone better plan on sending Martha a heavy
dose of Prozac.
