Why Does The Tea Party Hate Jesus?

Posted 9/13/11 at 9:34am by jamie
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

-Matthew 10:8

During last night’s GOP/Tea Party debate on CNN, Wolf Blitzer asked Ron Paul if under his America would a sick man without insurance be allowed to die instead of receiving care. Before Paul could even answer, the Tea Partiers started chanting “yes”. Here’s the video caught by TPM:

It really hurts my brain to think about these people and how they go out and act like the righteous when it comes to religion, yet they ignore the most basically preaching's of God and Jesus. It also makes me want to break things when I think about these hypocrites. These are the same people that sat in town halls a couple of years ago telling politicians that the government better not touch their Medicare. These people believe that they are the ones entitled, but no one else.

Bill Maher Reveals More O’Donnell Craziness

Posted 9/25/10 at 9:35am by jamie

As promised, Bill Maher last night revealed another classic Politically Incorrect clip of Christine O’Donnell. This time she decries the “myth of evolution” and wonders why monkeys aren’t still evolving.

You know what isn’t evolving Christine? You. You are stuck in a 17th century mindset. And you know what would have happened to you back then? You would have been burned at the stake for your “dabbling” in witchcraft.

Americans Think Congress Is Useless. The Democrats Are Determined To Prove Them Right

Posted 9/24/10 at 11:09am by jamie

WizardLionClose Yesterday I posted about our weak kneed leaders in Congress. Today they seem set on proving my point:

With a potentially bruising election less than six weeks away, Democrats on Capitol Hill came to an impasse Thursday over what to do about the Bush tax cuts. The result was a decision to do nothing, at least until after the elections, when Congress comes back to Washington for a lame duck session.

For weeks, Republicans have happily watched from the sidelines as liberal and moderate Democrats have struggled to agree on the best course of action, both politically and on policy grounds, with the Bush-era tax policy that Democrats describe as a "time bomb." All of the tax cuts -- including those on income, estates and dividends, as well as the child tax credit, the marriage penalty and the Alternative Minimum Tax -- will return to 2001 levels (as the legislation originally called for) unless Congress acts this year.

Greg Sergeant points out that the Democratic leadership is afraid that if the tax cuts expire on the top 2%, the Republicans will accuse them of “raising taxes”.

Again – Why Vote For Democrats This Year?

Posted 1/21/10 at 10:04am by jamie

The Democratic Party has become an utter train wreck since Tuesday night. Now we have this from Diane Feinstein:

Feinstein said it is clear that attempts to pass sweeping legislation to address climate change by capping carbon emissions cannot pass this Congress.

So if Democrats are just going to cave in on any important legislation now, then why even vote for them anymore? No matter what happens they aren’t going to get a super majority again. You aren’t going to get states like Indiana, Arkansas or Nebraska to vote for some progressive candidate. So why even bother?

This again all boils down to message control and the fact that the inside the beltway crowd has no idea what real Americans are thinking. Do real Americans really know that the Republicans have been filibustering everything? No, because Harry Reid doesn’t make them filibuster. Instead he just caves.

So when the Democrats end up losing a tidal wave of seats this fall, and by all indicators that is exactly what will happen, then they will have no one to blame but themselves. It’s time to force out the old mindset of the Democratic Party and inject a new leadership that really knows how to lead. If the Democrats don’t do that then their new found majority is going to be very short lived.

McCain Has A Pre-9/11 Mindset

Posted 9/2/08 at 3:27pm by jamie

John McCain has said we need a vice-President who can take over on day one. We have also heard on numerous occasions of how much 9/11 changed the world. So we are in this post-9/11 world, where people plan on doing bad things. That means the President is at a greater risk of being incapacitated from an act of terrorism. So shouldn't John McCain have picked a running-mate who is ready on day 1, especially considering the heightened state of terror the world is now in?

His selection of Palin is the perfect ammunition to use against the Republicans when they try the "pre-9/11 mindset" argument.
