33 pastors went out yesterday and endorsed John McCain from the pulpit, breaking the IRS rules put into effect in 1954. Will John McCain stand by and let this vagrant disregard for our democracy take place? These ministers must be punished for their lack of respect for our laws. Their churches must also now pay taxes, as they have now removed themselves from being tax exempt by their action.

Even more disturbing is the fact that this was a concentrated and planned out effort. The Organized Crime Control Act defines organized crime as:

The unlawful activities of ... a highly organized, disciplined association

The organization of this day of lawlessness is more evident by this:

The campaign, organized by the Alliance Defense Fund, a socially conservative legal consortium based in Arizona, has gotten the attention of the Internal Revenue Service. The agency, alerted by opponents, pledged to "monitor the situation and take action as appropriate."

All these individuals must be punished for their actions. All we can do is hope that the IRS takes action. I'm sure if these pastors went out and endorsed Barack Obama there would be action taken.

Another sicko using the pulpit in order to fulfill his twister perversion:

BI agents and state police raided an evangelist's headquarters Saturday as part of a child pornography investigation and said they planned to remove several children from the complex, run by a man previously accused of child abuse.

The raid at the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries south of Texarkana started an hour before sunset. Armed guards regularly patrol the ministry headquarters, but there was apparently no resistance as agents moved in.

Alamo was once accused in California of directing the beating of a church member's 11-year-old son. In 1994, he was sentenced to six years in prison on tax evasion charges filed in Memphis, Tennessee.

The judge in the tax case ordered him held pending sentencing after prosecutors argued that the evangelist was a flight risk and a polygamist who preyed on married women and girls in his congregation. U.S. District Judge Jon McCalla said he was concerned over "the very great control Mr. Alamo has over a number of people."

McCain wants a commission to study the economy. How about a commission to study the abuse of children in churches? This is becoming more and more common and something must be done to address it. Of course if that happens then the churches will cry "separation of church and state", a rule they feel only applies in the sense that best benefits them.
