If The U.K. Doesn’t Care For Seniors Then Why The Longer Life Expectancy?

Posted 8/6/09 at 12:28pm by jamie

The U.S. is currently rated 30th in life expectancy. Now compare that to Canada, rated 10th and the U.K. which is 26th.

The Republicans have been trying this new scare tactic that Canada and the U.K. won’t take care of their seniors, and equate it to euthanizing them. If that’s the case then why do these countries have long life expectancies than the U.S.? Because the Republicans are lying. They are using this lie to gin up fear, and its working. Just look at these tea baggers – most are seniors. And what do most seniors watch? Fox News.

Muslin Children Gassed - Right Here In Ohio!!!!

Posted 9/29/08 at 8:46am by jamie

This is so disgusting. Chris Rodda from the MRFF reports at HuffPo:

Friday, September 26th ended a week in which thousands of copies of Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West -- the fear-mongering, anti-Muslim documentary being distributed by the millions in swing states via DVDs inserted in major newspapers and through the U.S. mail -- were distributed by mail in Ohio. The same day, a "chemical irritant" was sprayed through a window of the Islamic Society of Greater Dayton, where 300 people were gathered for a Ramadan prayer service. The room that the chemical was sprayed into was the room where babies and children were being kept while their mothers were engaged in prayers. This, apparently, is what the scare tactic political campaigning of John McCain's supporters has led to -- Americans perpetrating a terrorist attack against innocent children on American soil.

I read the story as reported by the Dayton Daily News, but this was after I had received an email written by a friend of some of the victims of these American terrorists. The matter of fact news report in the Dayton paper didn't come close to conveying the horrific impact of this unthinkable act like the email I had just read, so I asked the email's author for permission to share what they had written. The author was with one of the families from the mosque -- a mother and two of the small children who were in the room that was gassed -- the day after the attack occurred.

The Republicans Quiet Scare Tactic

Bush's biggest problem is he lives in the past. He doesn't realize this great new thing out there called the "internets" and exactly how powerful it is. Take for example when Bush tries to change his story and then lie about what he previously said:

Oops. Well I am sure that hasn't happened before.

Oh well I guess it has. Our President isn't just incompetent - he is a total moron. With someone this out of touch with reality and such an ambition to lie to the American people, don't we require a Congress that will exercise the Constitutional mandate of oversight? Every single American deserves it. Our forefathers deserve it. Our nation deserves it. In 13 days we can change the course in our Nation and hopefully hold Bush accountable for his (in)actions.

Bush's Latest Scare Tactic - Bird Flu

Posted 11/4/05 at 2:35pm by jamie

For those of you who read about bird flu spreading to humans and think its
some new disease or problem that is just now occurring, I would like to set the
record straight.

Actually, the first signs of bird flu spreading to humans was in 1997. The
case occurred in Hong Kong and the seriousness was quickly realized. The
following is an article I found on News Bank from December 11, 1997

Paper: The Cincinnati Post

Title: Bird flu found in humans

Date: December 11, 1997

Doctors expressed concern this week that a rare bird flu discovered in
humans in Hong Kong could cause a widespread epidemic, but said it was too
early to tell how serious the threat was.

"That's what everybody is wondering about - whether this is the beginning
of another pandemic," said Dr. Keiji Fukuda of the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention in Atlanta. "That's why we very much would like to
identify how this virus is transmitted, and whether there are additional
cases in the Hong Kong population," Fukuda said in a news conference.

A 3-year-old boy died in May after contracting the influenza A H5N1
virus, the first time the bird flu was found in humans.

Three more cases have since been found. A 2-year-old boy was hospitalized
but recovered, a 54-year-old man died and a 13-year-old girl is in critical
condition. Copyright 1997 The Cincinnati Post
