Brit Hume Offers Tiger Some Advice

Posted 1/3/10 at 1:36pm by jamie

Oh this is just priceless:

Fox News' Brit Hume gave Tiger Woods some personal advice Sunday morning, telling the scandal-plagued (and Buddhist) golfer to 'turn to Christianity' to make a full recovery.

On "Fox News Sunday," Hume — the former leader of Fox News' political reporting and host of "Special Report" who now serves as an analyst for the network — said that Woods' recovery "depends on his faith."

"The extent to which he can recover seems to me depends on his faith," Hume said. "He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgivness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. My message to Tiger would, 'Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."

Yeah because Christianity has always been such a model religion, especially in the case of marriage. Right Newt? Right Mark Sanford? How about you Ted Haggard?

Brit Hume…what a moron!

Convicted Rapist Claims Copyright On His Name

Posted 12/17/09 at 8:26am by jamie

This is totally priceless:

A former South Dakota lawmaker convicted of raping his two foster daughters has sent news organizations what he claims is a copyright notice that seeks to prevent the use of his name without his consent.

A letter and an accompanying document labeled ''Common Law Copyright Notice'' said former state Rep. Ted Alvin Klaudt is reserving a common-law copyright of a trade name or trademark for his name. It said no one can use his name without his consent, and anyone who does would owe him $500,000.

I am honestly speechless…

Matt Drouchebag

Drudge is pushing this right wing rumor that President Obama was checking out some 16 year olds ass while at the G8:

mdbo16

Oh and here’s the really bad part. That “Second Stimulus Package” is a joke referring to the picture that links to the picture on Yahoo. Even 6 out of 7 of Drudge’s top headlines talk about this:

md162

The problem with it? It’s all fake. Jake Tapper even has video proving this was not what Obama was doing.

Even if Obama was checking out her ass, do the Republicans really want to get into this, especially with John Ensign, Mark Sanford, Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Ted Haggard, Newt Gingrich, and all the other ones I don’t feel like mentioning? Oh please, let’s go there and really expose Matt Drudge for the non-news man he is, plus the GOP for the hypocrites they are.

Deep Thought

Isn’t any stimulus package actually nothing but a big pork package? Even Ted Steven’s “bridge to nowhere” was technically stimulus. It takes people to build the bridge, people to make the materials for said bridge and people to transport those projects.

So why do the Republicans keep complaining about “pork” being in the stimulus bill?

The Big Difference

Ryan Lizza has a great piece up about the Democratic ticket. This part really caught my eye:

Biden consulted with his closest political advisers, including Ted Kaufman, Mike Donilon, and John Marttila, all of whom have been with him since the early days of his career. “They convinced me that I could have more influence on policy as a Vice-President with Barack,” Biden said. “And so the bottom line of all of this is that I said, ‘Barack, look, if you’re going to ask me to do this, please don’t ask me for any reason other than that you respect my judgment. If you’re asking me to join you to help govern, and not just help you get elected, then I’m interested. If you’re asking me to help you get elected, I can do that other ways, but I don’t want to be a Vice-President who is not part of the major decisions you make.’ ”

Now could you imagine Sarah "what does the vice-President do?" Palin making such a educated and well thought out decision as this?

Churches Are Full Of Hypocrites

Posted 1/9/08 at 4:32pm by jamie

That's the results of a new poll:

A new survey of U.S. adults who don't go to church, even on holidays, finds 72% say "God, a higher or supreme being, actually exists." But just as many (72%) also say the church is "full of hypocrites."

Indeed, 44% agree with the statement "Christians get on my nerves."

LifeWay Research, the research arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, based in Nashville, conducted the survey of 1,402 "unchurched" adults last spring and summer. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

Considering the state of America, with it's Ted Haggards running around, is this really a surprise?

8 Man Orgy!

Posted 12/2/07 at 8:49pm by jamie

I bet old Mitch McConnell is having a shit fit now:

Eight men say they either had sex with Sen. Larry Craig or were targets of sexual advances by the Idaho Republican at various times during his political career, a newspaper reported Sunday.

One of the men is the former escort whose allegations disgraced the Rev. Ted Haggard, former president of the National Association of Evangelicals, the Idaho Statesman reported.

The newspaper identified four men and reported details of the encounters they say involved Craig. It also reported the accounts of four other men who did not agree to be identified but who described sexual advances or encounters involving the conservative Republican.

Of course to the GOP they will publicly say this is a witch hunt. Eight random guys got together and said "hey - let's say bad things about Larry Craig". Isn't that the way it always goes?

PRAISE JESUS!

Reverend Ted has been healed!

One of four ministers who oversaw three weeks of intensive counseling for the Rev. Ted Haggard said the disgraced minister emerged convinced that he is "completely heterosexual."

Haggard also said his sexual contact with men was limited to the former male prostitute who came forward with sexual allegations, the Rev. Tim Ralph of Larkspur told The Denver Post for a story in Tuesday's edition.

"He is completely heterosexual," Ralph said. "That is something he discovered. It was the acting-out situations where things took place. It wasn't a constant thing."

The lord does work in mysterious ways. Perhaps we should start this kind of "intense counseling" for prisoners? Think about it. All the money we spend on inmates - this would make the Christian Conservatives thrilled!

OR!

Perhaps this is just more typical bullshit from the right wing maniacs. I am sure Reverend Ted has been healed - his sins of being caught have been flushed from his soul (bet he don't make that mistake again). I would not be shocked to hear his name again in the future, and this time the story will sound more like one of Mark Foley.

Oh well - at least Reverend Ted can go back to some of his good ol' fashioned sex talk with the buds at church.
