Ann Coulter publicly announced on Fox News that Rahm Emanuel’s brother is on her “death list”.
Why is she not in cuffs right now? Seriously – when she left Fox studios the police should have been sitting there to arrest her. That’s what happens when a child is discovered to have a “death list” at school. Someone please arrest her and start the interrogations. We need to know who else is on this “death list”.
Adding – this is the very kind of talk that is putting America to the boiling point. It is highly dangerous and FOX doesn’t mind jumping that shark, so long as they get the ratings. We as a society can not enable such dangerous rhetoric. It’s time for Murdoch to take responsibility for the actions of his corporation that are endangering America.

That’s what Coulter thinks:
If Obama can tell GM and Chrysler that their participation in NASCAR is an "unnecessary expenditure," isn't having public schools force students to follow Muslim rituals, recite Islamic prayers and plan "jihads" also an "unnecessary expenditure"? Are all those school condom purchases considered "necessary expenditures"?
Coulter was going by the big news yesterday reported by Car and Driver that Obama ordered the two ailing auto-makers to pull out of NASCAR. Now remember what yesterday was? I would love to show the actual article, but now you just get told “April Fools”! Coulter bought into it hook, line and sinker.

Ann Coulter has her jaw wired shut. Actually (and I can’t believe I am saying this), but I do feel for her. I went through this in my teens. Not a fun experience.

The same CPAC that our President, vice-President and the potential Republican nominee attended. The same CPAC that "didn't officially invite her", yet is letting her speak (kind of like water boarding is adventures in swimming). Think Progress has this little bit of her words today:
CROWD: (Applause) We love you Ann!
COULTER: I should give you an Edwards joke for that. [...]
Hillary wanted [to change her campaign song to] "I am woman," but it was already taken by Edwards.
So there you have it - all the outrage from the right wingers over Coulter's comments last year was nothing but a show. They love her (hell they said it) and let her speak again this year.

She is standing by her words last night that she would support Clinton over McCain.
This is neo-con meltdown in real time. Isn't it fun to watch?

From Ann Coulter!!!:
She would vote for Clinton over McCain. She even goes as far as saying that Clinton will be stronger on the War on Terror than McCain.
In my opinion Hillary should say thanks, but no thanks to this endorsement.

Sounds like time for a couple of jokes. Of course it isn't liberals making the jokes - It's Ann!

Leah Kauffman, also known as "Obama Girl", gives us another great video. This time she wants Ann Coulter to convert her to Christianity. Brilliant video and song!

This is getting old. Ann Coulter is out on our public airwaves using a defense any 5 year old would use (and she is suppose to be a lawyer?). That defense is simple - "Well Bill Maher did it". Wow Ann - if Bill Maher jumped off a bridge, would you?
So let's look at Anne's defense. What she is under fire for is the following statement:
"I've learned my lesson. If I'm gonna say anything about John Edwards in the future, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot." (emphasis added)
Now she is saying that Bill Maher said the same thing about Dick Cheney. During episode 503 of Real Time with Bill Maher, the round table turned to the hot topic of the week of a suicide bombing in Afghanistan, in which Dick Cheney was the target. Bill was discussing with his panel the decision of the Huffington Post to close the comments on the news thread about the attempt, because people were commenting that they were upset Cheney survived. I dug through my archives and here is the video of the segment:

This was some great TV. While Coulter was doing her piece of cake appearance on Hardball, she got a surprise. Elizabeth Edwards called in to confront her on her hateful speech. Check it out (thanks to TPM):
Coulter looked a little nervous during this call. You can tell she wasn't expecting that.

I posted the other day about the letter that was sent to CPAC from some right wing blogs regarding Ann Coulter. These bloggers took a stand against Coulter's hate speech. Of course the right wing darling, Michelle Malkin, was missing from that list. She did a quick little show of outrage over the incident once it gained some publicity, but I never bought it at all, so I was not surprised that her name was absent from the list.
Now she is using the story of Matt Sanchez, right wing darling and gay porn star, to defend Ann Coulter. Think Progress has the run down of Malkin's latest show of idiocy. Malkin posted this on her blog to try and "show the hatred of liberals":
I said the other day I thought CPAC organizers would be justified in being embarrassed if the rumors about Sanchez’s porn star past 15 years ago turned out to be true. Well, the rumors are true. But it is neither CPAC nor Cpl. Sanchez who should feel embarrassed.
It’s the nasty, gloating liberals who claim to stand for tolerance, privacy, human rights, and compassion. I predicted the other day that left-wing bigotry would rear its ugly head. I was right. The e-mail I’ve received is more disgusting than anything Ann Coulter stupidly said at CPAC.
It is amazing how Malkin always get's some mysterious email proving her point. Does she really think we are that blinded by her? Are her readers really so gullible as to fall for that?
I don't buy this "email" story for one minute. This is the same person who decided to get rid of comments on her blog because of "threats" and "nastiness". Funny that no one ever saw these comments. Even more interesting is how she attacked the HuffPo for turning off comments on a post where some bad things were said about the attempt on Dick Cheney's life.

A number of right wing bloggers are speaking out about Ann Coulter and are even telling the CPAC they do not want her to appear again. Here is the letter that they are sending. Ed from Captain's Quarters has more:
Conservatism treats humans as they are, as moral creatures possessing rational minds and capable of discerning right from wrong. There comes a time when we must speak out in the defense of the conservative movement, and make a stand for political civility. This is one of those times.
Ann Coulter used to serve the movement well. She was telegenic, intelligent, and witty. She was also fearless: saying provocative things to inspire deeper thought and cutting through the haze of competing information has its uses. But Coulter's fearlessness has become an addiction to shock value. She draws attention to herself, rather than placing the spotlight on conservative ideas.
At the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2006, Coulter referred to Iranians as "ragheads." She is one of the most prominent women in the conservative movement; for her to employ such reckless language reinforces the stereotype that conservatives are racists.
At CPAC 2007 Coulter decided to turn up the volume by referring to John Edwards, a former U.S. Senator and current Presidential candidate, as a "faggot." Such offensive language--and the cavalier attitude that lies behind it--is intolerable to us. It may be tolerated on liberal websites but not at the nation's premier conservative gathering.
The legendary conservative thinker Richard Weaver wrote a book entitled Ideas Have Consequences. Rush Limbaugh has said again and again that "words mean things." Both phrases apply to Coulter's awful remarks.
Coulter's vicious word choice tells the world she care little about the feelings of a large group that often feels marginalized and despised. Her word choice forces conservatives to waste time defending themselves against charges of homophobia rather than advancing conservative ideas.
Within a day of Coulter's remark John Edwards sent out a fundraising email that used Coulter's words to raise money for his faltering campaign. She is helping those she claims to oppose. How does that advance any of the causes we hold dear?
Denouncing Coulter is not enough. After her "raghead" remark in 2006 she took some heat. Yet she did not grow and learn. We should have been more forceful. This year she used a gay slur. What is next? If Senator Barack Obama is the de facto Democratic Presidential nominee next year, will Coulter feel free to use a racial slur? How does that help conservatism?
One of the points of CPAC is the opportunity it gives college students to meet other young conservatives and learn from our leaders. Unlike on their campuses—where they often feel alone—at CPAC they know they are part of a vibrant political movement. What example is set when one highlight of the conference is finding out what shocking phrase will emerge from Ann Coulter's mouth? How can we teach young conservatives to fight for their principles with civility and respect when Ann Coulter is allowed to address the conference? Coulter's invective is a sign of weak thinking and unprincipled politicking.
CPAC sponsors, the Age of Ann has passed. We, the undersigned, request that CPAC speaking invitations no longer be extended to Ann Coulter. Her words and attitude simply do too much damage.

It is great to see these bloggers take this action. Hate speech is not a partisan issue. Yesterday I said I believe there were a number of right wing bloggers who were truly sincere in their outrage against Coulter. Here we have the list of names who truly meant what they said. There are a couple big names missing from that list, but that is not shocking. I won't point them out, but I am sure you will notice them. I guess these missing names approve of Coulter's hate speech, but that will be their own demons to deal with.
AmericaBLOG has an action alert up to get UPS to drop Ann Coulter's syndicated column. A number of newspapers are already doing this. It is time for her to become unemployed.

Their has been a lot of buzz the last few days over Ann Coulter calling John Edwards a "faggot". I chose not to cover it because I feel that the more publicity Coulter gets, the more fuel she has for her outlandish comments. Today I had to cave because of Keith Olbermann, who took time from his vacation last night to call in the World's Worst on Countdown.
We got Limbaugh saying that Obama owns Al Sharpton because Obama has a history of slave owners in his family and Sharpton's family was once owned by Strom. Coulter and her "faggot" comment earns her the top honor, while Gingrich showed his true hatred with this comment:
How can you have the mess we have in New Orleans, and not have had deep investigations of the federal government, the state government, the city government, and the failure of citizenship in the Ninth Ward, where 22,000 people were so uneducated and so unprepared, they literally couldn't get out of the way of a hurricane.
