Republican Jean Schmidt won Ohio’s second congressional district. The final count was 59132 (52%) vs 55151 (48%).
Even though Paul Hackett lost, there is still cause for celebration. This race got this close in a district that republicans usually win by 40%. Also, it is not a loss of a seat as it was still being controlled by a Republican.
This election proved to the country that the DNC is on the move. Great job Paul and hope to see you again next year!
