In keeping with the swing of things, its time to look at Tom Delay again.
Recently numerous associates of the House leader have been indicted for
involvements in a political action group Delay founded. Now the
Associated Press is reporting that the Grand Jury investigating the
conspiracy charges is set to end tomorrow and could yield last minute
indictments including one for Mr. Delay himself.
So what happens if Delay does get indicted? If that happens then House rules
require him to step down as Majority leader and a new leader be either appointed
or elected.
This is just more crumbling of the house of Republicans. Once they got total
control they apparently felt they were above the law.
