Tomorrow is our holy day. No not the day when Christians take to churches, I
am talking about the day when political junkies like myself wake up early to
take to the Sunday morning talk shows. Tomorrow’s sermon seems to be synonymous
across the spectrum, it is a simple but stern message. That message is “DAMAGE
CONTROL”. The star of this sermon is none other than Donald Rumsfeld who is
apparently going to be out in full force making the rounds to try and defend the
Iraq War.

Kind of ironic that the only show he is missing on is the same one Murtha is
on. True it might be because Rummy don’t want to be associated with a liar like
Tim Russert – you know the guy who lied about his knowledge of plame that
resulted in poor Scooter Libby getting indicted and losing his job (if I keep
talking like that the GOP might hire me to be an internet troll).
This is a definitie sign of damage control by the Department of Defense. They
need to get out and send their message of illusion that Iraq is going as
planned. True he might also be planning to promote his new ‘stability’ plan for
Iraq. That is the new focus for the war as highlighted in
this New York Times article that will be appearing in the Sunday print
edition.
