Bush has done it again. He has set a new low. PEW has released their latest approval rating for Bush and he is now at 33%, down by 7% from February.
Also in the same poll they focused on the port deal. 58% feel Congress acted appropriately by opposing the deal while only 24% felt they “Made to much of it”. 30% also feel the Democrats did a better job on handling the situation as compared to 20% feeling the Republicans faired better.
Since last October, Bush has lost 10% of the support from white Evangelicals who attend church often. He was at 64% and now stands at 54%. Guess God isn’t too happy with him now.
From October to March he also lost support amongst Republicans, 73% down from 81% and conservatives, 78% down from 87%.
An interesting historical fact is also pointed out in this poll. 56% say that Bush is out of touch with the government. This is 9% higher than Reagan had in 1987 when 47% felt he was out of touch.
Now for the fun part. One word descriptions of Bush have turned negative. Last year, the top one word description was “Honest” with a 38% response. This month it is “incompetent”, pulling the top spot in with 29% response. “Idiot” is in third at 21%. That means 50% of the people think Bush is either an Idiot or Incompetent.
