He has published a make believe letter from the DNC’s human resources department to Bill Clinton. I do like what one commenter said:
Obama and his surrogates need to stop going on TV and whining about how the Clintons are a bunch of meanies! It makes Obama look weak and unprepared for the office he seeks.
That got me thinking back to one of the first debates. Obama kept going on about Hillary’s Iraq vote (and God knows I don’t agree with her on that). The media was praising Hillary for not biting. Obama went out and continued his attack against her and Edwards over that vote. Still no big deal.
Here we are some months later and Clinton is now fighting back. That brings me to one part of Franken’s cute faux letter:
*Sexism
In these modern times a wife does not need a husband to do her dirty work. She is now allowed to misrepresent her opponent without a man to help her.
That’s really funny. I also remember numerous occasions when male candidates would have their wives go out and do the same. So is that OK or does Bob need a reprimand about sexism in his file?
It’s like I have been saying; the media is eating up the fact that Bill is out there. He gets more attention than any other candidate’s spouse. That is causing the problem. The media needs to stop thinking of him as “former President Clinton” and instead focus on him as “Bill husband of Hillary”.
Don’t believe me? How about when Mike Huckabee asked about Mormon’s believing if Jesus and the devil were brothers? That was a sure fire shot across the bowl of Mitt Romeny and the media hardly mentioned it. So I guess misrepresenting an entire religion is fine, just don’t misrepresent a candidates quotes or votes.
