These are becoming ridiculous
Josh has a nice summary of the ad
Okay, we’ve got another Rudy ad out and it’s reaching the point of true pathos as Rudy tries to extend his 9/11 brand to anything else that is actually relevant to voters’ lives. In his latest attempt, which you can see below, Rudy explains how among the Republican candidate only he’s brave enough and tough enough to come out for a national catastrophe fund …
There is something else I noticed in this new ad. A possible subliminal message:
Foreclosure? That’s a national catastrophe that FEMA would deal with? That is certainly a new one on me (and I have been through hours of FEMA training). The only way foreclosures come in is in a long term scenario. Say that area is hard hit and people loose jobs because of it. After that they finally face foreclosure. This is something we have seen in New Orleans, but I find it interesting that Rudy is putting it out front in his ad. Is he proposing help for the people in NoLa that are facing foreclosures or is he trying to give people something to think about with the state of the housing market?
