Every single Republican in the House votes against the stimulus bill. You got to hand it to them – they stick together no matter how far off the cliff the leadership is driving them. What gets me though is that the Democrats kept making concessions to the Republicans on this, and like a bunch of children it was never enough. We heard this all before, from our former President. He would roll out his bi-partisan lingo only to demand that everything he wants is added, but the Democrats can’t have any of their stuff added into bills. That’s the Republican definition of “working together” right there.
But I am still wondering what would have helped John Boehner come over to support the bill. Perhaps he didn’t think there was enough stimulus for the tanning bed industry.
