AP article:

Iran’s spy chief used just two words to respond to White House ridicule of
last week’s presidential election: “Thank you.” His sarcasm was barely hidden.
The backfire on Washington was more evident.

The sharp barbs from President Bush were widely seen in Iran as damaging to
pro-reform groups because the comments appeared to have boosted turnout among
hard-liners in Friday’s election — with the result being that an
ultraconservative now is in a two-way showdown for the presidency.

“I say to Bush: `Thank you,'” quipped Intelligence Minister Ali Yunesi. “He
motivated people to vote in retaliation.”

Seems that President Bush is so worried about fixing other countries, however
he sees fit, yet he can not even worry about his own country. This is sadly
enough, just the latest example of how Bush is further alienating the United
States from the rest of the world. In a time when he says he is trying to
promote world piece, he continues to cause more turmoil than good.

Perhaps this is President Bush’s new way of trying to get us into a war. Iran
was one of his so called “axis of evils”, and our troops are just right over the
border. The only problem is we can not handle another war. We are already
fighting two wars with no apparent end in sight. Another war is going to do
nothing but create further anti-American views in the world, and increase our
chances for attack.

President Bush has actually done the unthinkable yet again. Four short years
after one of the worst attacks on U.S. soil, he continues to further cripple our
defenses and opening the risk of more American lives to be lost. It is no secret
that our forces are running on less than nominal man power. It has been shown
how our armed forces will recruit anyone they can, regardless of education or
legal problems. I reported a couple weeks ago how the Army has even instituted a
directive to keep people in the service, who would of once been discharged for
wrongful acts.

The greatest fear is that George Bush wants a man like John Bolton to
represent our country, being the voice of the American people to the entire
world. This is a man who has had repeated complaints filed on him for creating
hostile work environments. George wants him to be our number one diplomat and
John Bolton does not even know how to exercise diplomacy with in his own ranks.
Thankfully the Senate has realized this and has delayed the vote to appoint him.

The biggest problem is that all these smaller problems span the globe. The
entail different cultures, religions, political beliefs, and economic
motivations. It makes it difficult for a common man to put everything together.
In fact what President Bush has done is overwhelmed the American people with so
much that they now choose to ignore it. This is the most dangerous act any of us
could do. The world is right now sitting on all the ingredients that could lead
up to world war three and it just needs properly mixed. President Bush is not
doing anything to prevent this either, in fact he is doing more and more to
cause it.

While all this is going on, the United States is highly divided between red
and blue. This is something that can not be allowed to continue. We need a
united America, a America where our religious, economical and political beliefs
do not split us. If we do at some point enter into world war three, this divide
will be our biggest enemy.

It has already harmed us to what is almost a point of no return. Our Congress
is so highly divided right now that they spend all their time debating and
arguing over who is right and who is wrong, and still hold their allegiance to
their side of the isle. While this arguing continues, our administration is
doing irreparable damages to how we are perceived in the world. Our economy is
in the worst shape it has been in years. The great American dream is now a thing
of the past. The most horrid part is that 1 percent of the people in this
country speak for the entire populace. The rich have taken a strong hold on the
media and is using it to spin their propaganda in order to fatten their bank
accounts even more. Our very own chairman of the Federal Reserve, Allan
Greenspan even said last week that the divides amongst our social classes is
widening at an alarming rate and threatens our very own democracy. This is the
man who runs our economy and he has realized there is a problem, yet our
administration chooses to ignore it.

If we have learned anything through out all this, it is that a common fear
shared by our parents and great grand parents is one of truth. You need a
balance between the parties in our government. We have the Republican part in
total control of the White House and Congress and it is not working. Right now
our only salvation is to start trying to get the balance shifted next fall. We
need to start supporting candidates that will oppose the controlling party and
help ensure that we can once again have a fair and balanced government.

You may say to yourself that this is to far away to worry about. Politics is
something very easily procrastinated upon, but the truth of the matter is we
need to start now. Recent polls show Americans are realizing there is a problem,
but there are still many Americans “on the fence”. It is our job to be educated
and explain the problems we are facing to them. We have over a year to do it,
but unlike how our military was sent into a war, we need armor. That’s why it is
your job to arm yourself. If you are reading this, then you already have access
to the perfect weapons cache. Take some time and search the net, or read the
links I have posted on here. Within that you will find yourself a sophisticated,
highly trained and armored soldier in this battle. Our weapon is not one of
destruction or fatality. It is the most non lethal weapon in the world. It is
our minds. We need to explain to our friends, family, and coworkers who have
ignored the issues the importance of understanding them. If every person can
convince one other person they know to help make a change and that person can do
the same, this will be an extremely easy battle. There is no doubt we will
prevail as the victors in this march to restore democracy to America and prove
that Americans take care of their own. Once we get there then we can become the
world’s biggest ally and not their biggest fear!
