Articles like this always make me laugh:

State government is owed more than $33 million in unpaid fines and interest from candidates and political committees cited by the Ohio Elections Commission. At least four local campaign committees are on Attorney General Richard Cordray’s list of scofflaws being pursued – so far without success – by taxpayer-financed collectors:

Now ready to see who the top of the list of Cincinnati people is?

The Hamilton County Conservative Forum owes nearly $600,000 including daily fines and interest for Elections Commission violations.

And here’s a little more on that forum:

Enquirer clips show the Hamilton County Conservative Forum was founded in 1990 by then-GOP activist – later Hamilton County Prosecutor – Mike Allen.

But who is Mike Allen? Well if you aren’t from Cincinnati then you might not know, so let me turn to the Wikipedia:

In August 2004, Allen announced he had a three and a half year adulterous affair with a lawyer on his staff, Rebecca Collins, one day before she filed a federal lawsuit [1] charging sexual harassment. Amid the scandal, Allen resigned his post as Southwest Ohio chairman of George W. Bush‘s re-election campaign. In September, he withdrew from the November ballot–he had been running unopposed–but did not resign his office [2]. He is now in private practice as a criminal defense attorney.

“On his staff” refers to the time that Allen was the Hamilton County prosector.

Yes – in a few simple paragraphs you get a great view of Republican/Conservative values.
