Just Laugh At Them

Something else has changed in a big way this year – my reaction to the righties. Before I used to get pissed at their lies and hate they constantly spewed out, but now it’s funny, albeit in a very sad way. One example of this was the stimulus debate. Republicans opposed it hands down. Pretty bad, considering that they are now on record opposing the largest tax cut in American history. How does that fit into their agenda?

Now here is the latest example. Instead of appointing a “car czar”, President Obama has decided to make a panel, which will be lead by his two top economic powers – Geithner and Summers. This idea isn’t sitting well with the right:

<p>Indecision, backtracking, waffling. After 26 days in office, these are the words that best describe the Obama Administration. Actually, given the serial flip-flops during the campaign{[}]lt;/a> and then again during the transition, I am certain that Obama’s inability to make a decision, communicate it clearly, and then stick to it will be the hallmark of this presidency.

So Obama has decided to appoint this panel, which will prevent a level of bureacy and a fulltime “car czar” from being appointed, and the right is upset? Isn’t this part of downsizing goverment? I guess the Republicans are against that now.

This is why I laugh at them now. They are like that whining kid at the store, yelling and screaming in hopes of getting that new toy. The question is rather the parents will give into the tantrum or let the child continue making himself look like a fool. It looks like the parents, in this case the Democrats, are going to let the kids/Republicans look like the fools and they need to. Why? Because by Obama going back and thinking “hey this might work better”, it shows he can learn and accept the changes in his thinking that should be required to be President. If we had that with the last President then the whole Iraq thing would have never happened.

So just think about that – the Republicans want more George Bush and less Obama. They can say they don’t like Bush, but their actions prove a different story. That alone is pretty damn funny.
