Racist America

The AP has taken a big look into the ‘hundreds’ of racial threats and crimes that have occurred since Obama became our President-elect: From California to Maine, police have documented a range of alleged crimes, from vandalism and vague threats to at least one physical attack. Insults and taunts have been delivered by adults, college […]

A Ku Klux Klan Labor Day gathering in Arkansas on Saturday, September 1,
2007. Members and supporting Klan realms from five different states came together for a three-day weekend of racial unity. The gathering included BBQ’s, games, fellowship, an award ceremony and a Klan naturalization. A historical cannon was fired every hour on the hour during daylight hours, until local neighbors complained. Saturday evening closed with a cross lighting ceremony which, according to Klan beliefs, dispels darkness and ignorance. Due to a statewide burn ban, the lighting was done with Christmas tree lights. **German Language Out** ** No Tabloids**

From California to Maine, police have documented a range of alleged crimes, from vandalism and vague threats to at least one physical attack. Insults and taunts have been delivered by adults, college students and second-graders.

There have been “hundreds” of incidents since the election, many more than usual, said Mark Potok, director of the Intelligence Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate crimes.

Sadly his was to be expected. The worse part is that the right has been quick to jump on anyone using their authority to support Obama, yet they remain absolutely silent on these crimes. A lot of these cases involve children learning the way of the racist. In my opinion, these children should be removed from their home and given a psychiatric evaluation to determine how much damage their racist parents may have done.

Something else I keep thinking about was back when Cheney when to Afghanistan and the airport was bombed. Commenteres on liberal sites posted such things as “damn they missed”, and that got the right wing blogs in a frenzy. Why don’t they get into a frenzy when this new crap happens? Where is the “Malkin outrage” we saw from the Cheney comments?

Also I keep going back to the campaign. People yelled “kill him” about Obama at McCain/Palin rallies and they didn’t do a damn thing about it. McCain even said he was “proud” of these people. Could you imagine if that happened at an Obama rally? There would be a full fledged investigation and possible suspension of the elections.

Hopefully people will be able to see that Obama being black is nothing but pigmentation. He will govern the same as any white person. Actually it will be better, because he has to prove that a person of color can handle the job. But there will still be racists in this country. The simple minded idiots that cling to God and their guns, and that is exactly who they are. Luckily though they are becoming a shrinking minority.
