Malkin has posted on the conditions at Walter Reed and here is how much she cares:
Good. The mess at the VA and in the military health care sysm [sic] is systemic and complicated. Political grandstanding on both sides of the political aisle has impeded reforms for years. The push to modernize and consolidate facilities, including Walter Reed, has been met with fierce resistance–exacerbated by bureaucratic edifice complex. That these failures to prioritize continue in war time unabated is damnable. Any light shone on the soldiers’ toll, whatever the motivations and prejudices of the WaPo reporters might be, is welcome, IMO.
Now that is interesting. So it is “political grandstanding” that has prevented this “reform”? Again Malkin proves her serious disconnect from reality. What political grandstanding effected Walter Reed? That is not under the control of the VA, but rather the DOD. What money hasn’t Bush received from Congress that he asked for when it came to the DOD? What party controlled the military and the purse for the past several years?
And how about Bush? Can Malkin remove her head from her ass long enough to read a little? Can she read simple things like this?
The Bush administration plans to cut funding for veterans’ health care two years from now — even as badly wounded troops returning from Iraq could overwhelm the system.
Bush is using the cuts, critics say, to help fulfill his pledge to balance the budget by 2012.
Who is that wanting to cut the budget for veterans’ health care? Oh yeah – BUSH!
It certainly sounds like the one doing the biggest political grandstand on this disguising issue is Malkin. Typical – her facts are wrong, her claims are wrong and her partisanship is the most obvious around the blogosphere. She is perfect to fill in for O’Reilly!
