Worse Than Nixon!

Misc

Worse President Ever! Meanwhile, Bush reached an unwelcome record. By 64%-31%, Americans disapprove of the job he is doing. For the first time in the history of the Gallup Poll, 50% say they “strongly disapprove” of the president. Richard Nixon had reached the previous high, 48%, just before an impeachment inquiry was launched in 1974. […]

Bush Screws The Kids

Misc

Well he vetoed SCHIP this morning, effectively telling millions of children they don’t deserve healthcare. The most ironic thing about it is that he decided to do this veto without his usual “ceremony”. Why? Well he knows his decision is unpopular. I say it is time for a ballot issue saying that no elected officials […]

Fuck The Troops!

Misc

And let them die in Iraq! That should be the new slogan of the GOP. They did another filibuster on Boxer’s resolution condemning any ad against military people (past or present), yet the measure condemning MoveOn’s ad passed. Considering the GOP blocks any measure that would help the troops as a whole, or even give […]

Democrats Beat Bush Again

Misc

This time in demographics. On CNN Bush had 454,000 viewers, while the Democratic response had 507,000. On Fox (of all places), Bush had 745,000 as compared to 813,000 viewers for the Democrats. MSNBC was the only channel in which Bush did better (455,000 to 446,000). Sounds like America is turning off Bush more and more.

Our Infrastructure Is A Mess

Misc

Of course the right will jump on this and say that “oh yeah -the looney left thinks Bush did something to make that bridge collapse”. Well they are right and he has. He has ignored our nation’s infrastructure during his entire presidency and now that neglect is becoming obvious. Harry Reid even gets it on […]

Two More Troops Face Murder Charges

Misc

Stories like this are becoming all too common: Two U.S. soldiers have been charged with premeditated murder in the death of an Iraqi near the northern city of Kirkuk last month, the U.S. military said Thursday. The charges were brought against Sgt. Trey A. Corrales of Texas and Spc. Christopher P. Shore of Georgia, following […]

If It Walks Like Bush And Talks Like Bush

Misc

Then America don’t want it! In a widely expected move, Sen. John McCain‘s (R-Ariz.) press department resigned en masse today. Communications director Brian Jones stepped down, along with deputies Matt David and Danny Diaz. Research director Brian Rogers and South Carolina McCain spokesman Adam Temple are also leaving the campaign. None of the depatures is […]

BREAKING: Miers Won't Show

Misc

MSNBC just now reported that Bush ordered Miers to not show up tomorrow for the congressional hearing and she indeed won’t. Considering Congress hasn’t released her from the obligation to show up, this means she will most likely face contempt of Congress charges. Just another chapter in the life of “Bush hates the rule of […]

The Party Of Childish Excuses

Misc

As much as he pisses me off at times, I still like Chuck Schumer. This morning on Face the Nation, Orin Hatch kept invoking the old “Clinton did it” excuse when talking about the Libby commutation. Schumer responded; “two wrongs don’t make a right”. For as “bad” as Clinton was for this country (according to […]

Injustice

Misc

Josh found this article that appeared in USA Today less than 2 weeks ago: The Supreme Court made it harder Thursday for most defendants to challenge their federal prison sentences. Appeals courts that review prison terms imposed by trial judges may deem them reasonable if they fall within federal sentencing guidelines adopted in the mid-1980s, […]
