Out Of Iraq By June

Misc

That’s the news for the U.K.: Britain’s six-year occupation of south Iraq will begin drawing to a close in March, and the last troops will leave Basra by June, a senior defence source disclosed yesterday. But instead of handing over to Iraqi authorities, the British will be replaced at their Basra airport base by a […]

Will The Media Call Out The Administration On Their "Defeatist" Attitude?

Misc

The administration has agreed to Iraq’s timetable for withdrawal. Whenever a Democrat mentioned the word “timetable”, they were termed as a “defeatist”. So will the media call out Bush for the same thing now? The Republicans wanted this game of name-calling, now it’s time to show them what it’s like.

Iraq Wants The Terrorists To Win!

Misc

Or as the educated people might call it, a time table: Iraq’s prime minister said Monday his country is now proposing an interim deal with the United States on the presence of American troops instead of a more formal agreement — and wants to include a timetable for a U.S. withdrawal. Some type of agreement […]

We get some Bushit next week!

Misc

Oh joy: President George W. Bush will address a war-weary American public next week to “lay out a vision” for the U.S. role in Iraq as he tries to sell his strategy in the wake of a crucial report to Congress. Heading home from an overseas trip on the eve of a political showdown over […]

Coalition of the Leaving

Misc

British troops are starting to leave and Denmark is joining them. Amazing that this is happening while we are increasing our presence there. The other amazing thing is that Blair announced a “timetable”. I guess he wants to embolden the enemy. Will the Republicans and Bush call him a “cut and runner”?

The ISG Report – A Reason For Bush To Blame Everyone Else!

Misc

The waste of time has been delivered: The Iraq Study Group report gives a “tough assessment of the situation in Iraq” but provides “common ground” for a way forward, President Bush said Wednesday. Bush spoke at the White House after receiving the group’s report in a breakfast meeting. According to two sources who have seen […]

Just now breaking and it is definitely going to send shockwaves around D.C. Democrats And Military In Lockstep On Iraq – OUCH!

Misc

Now the talking points on this should be very interesting: Senate Democrats reacted angrily yesterday to a report that the U.S. commander in Iraq had privately presented a plan for significant troop reductions in the same week they came under attack by Republicans for trying to set a timetable for withdrawal. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) […]
