The Media Picks The Winners

Misc

Bill Press writes: Super Tuesday’s over, and there’s no absolute winner among either Democrats or Republicans. Nonetheless, even though no one candidate has yet locked up their party’s nomination, we might as well cancel the rest of the primaries or caucuses. The media have already decided that this year’s standard bearers will be John McCain […]

Take The Polls With A Grain Of Salt

Misc

There is a lot of talk about the latest Gallup daily tracker showing Clinton opening up a lead over Obama yesterday. Here’s the problem though – the polls have been wrong. I’m not dissing the pollsters on this, it’s an extremely complex year to poll. With record levels of new registrations and people declaring and/or […]

Final Super Tuesday Polls

Misc

Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Obama 49% Clinton 36% Survey USA Clinton 52% Obama 42% So who will win? No one knows. Remember it’s not about states, but delegates. As we saw in Nevada, it is possible for someone to win the popular vote, but loose in the delegate count. Today will be very interesting. I’ll have the tracker […]

Some Super Tuesday Polls

Misc

Zogby has a new poll out that has Obama beating Clinton 45-41%. With 370 delegates up for grabs, California could end up becoming a wash (in other words the winner coming out with only a handful more delegates than the loser). Pew also has a new national poll out, which has Obama trailing 38-46%. There […]

A Look At The Obama-mentum

Here is an interesting graphic comparing recent polls in the Democratic primary for the Super Tuesday states (as only Pollster could visualize it): (click for larger view). At first it might look confusing, but it in fact shows a momentum towards Obama. Basically the darker dots are the most recent polls and they go down […]

On the national front Obama is now only six points behind Hillary according to Gallup. A week ago Clinton had a 20 point lead in the same poll.

Rudy's Last Stand

Misc

The rumor throughout the pundit world is that Rudy could be dropping out tomorrow if he doesn’t do well in Florida today. It will be interesting to see what happens. I’ll have the election tracker up a little later. Also There are reports that a large number of Democrats are even heading to the polls, […]

Polls Open In South Carolina

Misc

It’s around 50 degrees there so weather is not a problem and they are reporting that turn out is high. The leaves me ponering something. Last week they had snow during the Republican primaries – a weather anomaly in South Carolina. Doesn’t that make it seem like God doesn’t want Republicans to vote? OK onto […]

John King Responds To Glenn Greenwald

Misc

From the best immature mudslinger in the business: I don’t read biased uninformed drivel so I’m a little late to the game. But a friend who understands how my business works and knows a little something about my 20 plus years in it sent me the link to your ramblings. Well John according to recent […]

Misc

Priceless! Fried squirrel from a popcorn popper. Yeah I bet all South Carolina dines on that all the time. I can hear the people of South Carolina (one of my favorite vacation spots) rushing to the polls for Huckaboner now!
