Slow In Reporting

Misc

The Politico is just now getting the story out of McCain economic adviser Phil Gramm, and his ties to the subprime mess we are in today. I reported about this on Monday. All the same, I am glad to see the story get some traction now. People need to know that the man behind McCain’s […]

What Will McCain Economic Advisor Gramm Think?

Misc

Phil Gramm is McCain’s chief economic adviser and was one of the chief architects of the deregulation of the banking industry that helped get us into the mortgage crisis. Now George Bush is proposing sweeping new regulations of the banking industry to help prevent more problems. This appears to go strongly against Gramm’s beliefs, as […]

Liar, Liar

Misc

Bush yesterday: President Bush, saying that “normalcy is returning back to Iraq,” argued Thursday that last year’s U.S. troop “surge” has improved Iraq’s security to the point where political and economic progress are blossoming as well. Oh The Truthiness

Misc

Reuters nails it on the head: Somebody forgot to tell Hillary Clinton the Democratic presidential race is over and Barack Obama won. It’s good to see the media no longer buying the “they pick on me” meme Hillary was trying to put out there. If Hillary wants to come out of this looking good, then […]

Hillary Sinking

Misc

Everyone thought the Rev. Wright situation would really hurt Obama. Well it didn’t. Instead Hillary’s lying has hurt her: As expected, one of the two major Democratic candidates saw a downturn in the latest NBC/WSJ poll, but it’s not the candidate that you think. Hillary Clinton is sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. […]

Iraq Continues Downward Spiral

Misc

The Green Zone has been hit yet again: Shiite militants are hammering the U.S.-protected Green Zone with rockets and mortars for the fourth day this week. Thick, black smoke is billowing from inside the heavily fortified home to the U.S. Embassy and Iraqi government. And Shiites are protesting in huge numbers: Tens of thousands of […]
