With all the talk of Path to 9/11 and how “Clinton did nothing to secure us, despite numerous attacks”, then perhaps the following is an omen:

Syrian security forces killed four attackers Tuesday outside the U.S. Embassy in Damascus after a car exploded near the walls of the American compound, the Syrian Information Ministry said.

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack, but an al Qaeda offshoot group called Jund al-Sham — or Soldiers of Levant is suspected, said Imad Moustapha, Syrian ambassador to the United States.

The radical fundamentalist group has been blamed for several attacks in Syria in recent years, Moustapha said.

We have had an embassy attacked and that is the same thing as they consider an attack against the U.S. when Clinton was in office. However the rightwingers never view it the same. They will consider this a “terrorist attack” instead of an attack against the U.S. This is how their partisan hackery has evolved the debate regarding war and life and death.
