Dan Riehl Pushes Off Old Photo Of Zimmerman As Something New

ABC obtained the following video surveillance of George Zimmerman being walked into the police station not long after murdering Trayvon Martin:

This week claims came out that Martin had attacked Zimmerman and bloodied his head and broke his nose. In the video there is no visible sign of injuries, though in Zimmerman’s defense he could have been cleaned up by EMTs at the scene.

But this hasn’t stopped the right wing conspiracy theories. Here’s Dan Riehl:

With this mugshot everywhere, what was the point in claiming their video reveals anything given that Zimmerman was treated at the scene and likely cleaned up? Also, as Tom Maguire pointed out, swelling and bruising often don’t appear until the next day after a physical confrontation of some sort. What a bunch of nonsense that only inflames an already dangerous situation from ABC.

Gee, no obvious swelling, no bruising at that point. Did we really need some grainy video to throw fuel on a fire, while telling us what we already knew? Of course not. But ABC did it anyway.

Now I will give Dan some credit here that bruising usually doesn’t appear until the next day, but hair doesn’t grow instantly. Notice in this picture that Zimmerman’s head is shaved as he is walked into a room at the police department:

Then look at the mugshot above. Notice all the hair that Zimmerman mysteriously grew with in what could only be an hour or two after the video was shot? Also Zimmerman wasn’t charged. Why would he be in what appears to be a prison jumpsuit?

Why?

The mugshot Riehl is pushing off as being from that night was actually from 2005 when Zimmerman was arrested for pushing a state liquor agent.

But facts are stubborn things and if you are the right wing, they are extinct thing. Sadly Riehl’s pitiful defense is so flawed that a quick look can tell you how flat out wrong he is. I’m sure he will retract it anytime now. Yeah, I’m really sure…..
