UPDATE:

Judge Orders Polling Site Open Until 9:30 PM
Last Update: 5/2/2006 7:02:08 PMCLEVELAND (AP) – A judge has ordered a polling site that didn’t open on time to stay open late today in Ohio’s primary election. The site is at a neighborhood center in Cleveland where poll workers did not show up for a 6:30 a-m opening. The site eventually opened with replacement workers at about 1 p-m. A county elections official says Common Pleas Judge Nancy McDonnell issued an order to keep the polling site open until 9:30 p-m. Cuyahoga is among at least two counties where there were reports of people leaving without voting when workers did not have machines operating as precincts opened. Printing errors on some electronic voting machines were among other glitches reported in the state’s first election without any punch cards.

These are the new Diebold, touch screen machines being used. I know of one person in my Southern Ohio precinct that had a problem with the card not reading properly. How many more problems will come out as the night goes on?
