Palin has now admitted she is looking for a run in 2012. This is suicide in the political world – talking about the next race when the current one is still going on:

VARone is still going onGAS: But the point being that you haven’t been so bruised by some of the double standard, the sexism on the campaign trail, to say, “I’ve had it. I’m going back to Alaska.”

It will be interesting to see what happens with Palin since there appears to be a major fracturing of the Republican party.
