The ever growing Dynus scandal that has plagued the GOP in my home of Butler County, Ohio saw another one fall yesterday:

A federal grand jury has indicted West Chester Twp. Trustee George Lang for allegedly lying while under oath.

According to the indictment released just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, Lang “knowingly made a false material declaration” on Aug. 11, 2009 while in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati testifying in the federal case against Orlando Carter, the former president and owner of the now defunct Dynus Technologies.

Lang, 45, faces up to a five-year penalty for perjury, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Lang, a West Chester Township trustee (which also happens to be the home of John Boehner), is one of numerous Butler County Republicans under indictment in this scandal. The FBI has been working on this investigation going on two years now. Other GOP indictments include former county commissioner Michael Fox and former auditor Kay Rogers, who was forced to resign her position following her indictment.

Lang’s involvement also seems to focus around the lobbying company he owns:

Former Butler County GOP executive director Scott Owens testified this afternoon that Dynus Corp. paid him $100,000 to peddle influence with county officials.

Owens was a paid lobbyist working through the Lang Agency, which is owned by West Chester Twp. Trustee George Lang, Owens said. He said it was part of more than $300,000 Lang’s company was paid to help secure the company contracts with the county.

For his part, Owens said he introduced company officials to former county commissioner Michael Fox, former auditor Kay Rogers, current Commissioner Gregory Jolivette and Prosecutor Robin Piper.

This story is far from over and many more local GOP politicians are expected to fall yet.

My question is if John Boehner will return the campaign donations that Lang gave him?
