Since Mark Block falsely asserted that a former Politico reporter is related to one of Herman Cain’s sexual harassment victims a growing theme has emerged on the right – Mark Block is the key to all of Cain’s problems. Mark Block is a disaster for Cain, but it also highlights a serious flaw in Cain himself. I won’t go into it, but rather let a rightwing blogger, who I almost always disagree with, explain. Here’s Michelle Malkin:
Herman Cain has campaigned on his reputation as a visionary business leader with the guts and know-how to reward what works and cut loose what doesn’t.
Time to practice what he preaches.
And that’s exactly the problem right there! Block’s accusations yesterday weren’t the first time he went out and played the conspiracy theory, gossip queen card. It was Block who was accusing Rick Perry of being behind the release of the sexual harassment stories. Even Herman Cain himself denied that. Now we got the second major flap in a week. And that’s only the problems involving the sexual harassment story. There’s also some serious legal questions and complaints in regarding Block and funneling money illegal into the Cain campaign.
If Herman Cain is a serious business man he would realize his own worst enemy is actually the man running his campaign. Of course there is another side to that equation. Cain cutting Block loose right now would be another big ding to his run and really show that his campaign is imploding.
Cain’s in a tough spot right now and it really shows his leadership, or should I say “lack of leadership”. It isn’t the liberal media or his opponents destroying him, it’s his closest ally and himself. That’s the hard fact that Cainbots refuse to accept.
