I have reported previously about the criminal problems facing my home county in Ohio. Today another big Republican name has been indicted:

A former Butler County commissioner, state lawmaker and Children Services director has been indicted on federal charges.

Mike Fox was indicted on six charges of mail or wire fraud, while attorney Robert Schuler was indicted on charges of conspiracy, filing false tax returns and making false statements.

The U.S. attorney’s office said that Fox and Schuler “conspired to improperly benefit from Butler County contracts involving a company doing business with the county, and that the men failed to report income from the deals on their federal income tax returns.”

Fox is alleged to have received $460,000 in undeclared funds, while Schuler is accused of receiving $360,000 that he did not put on his tax return.

Fox was one of the power players here. We even have a highway that bears his name, which pretty much runs from my side of the county into John Boehner’s backyard. It’s fun watching the local GOP collapse in a pool of indictments.
