A day after the State Department reveals that John Bolton in fact did lie on his confirmation questionnaire in regards to being questioned in the last five years by any grand jury or governmental investigation, the White House started dropping more hints of giving him the recess appointment to the UN.

This shows the level that our administration is willing to sink to in order to damage our diplomatic position in the world today. We are faced with numerous obstacles and a war with no end in site. Bush’s way of handling this is to appoint a person to the UN who regularly practices bullying techniques and excessive acts of violence towards subordinates.

Under the law, if Bolton if given the recess appointment, then it will last until the next session of Senate which wont be until January of 2007. In a little over a year, this hot-tempered bully can certainly do some damage to the UN. I guess this goes to show you that if you want to get appointed, just lie to Senate!
