While London is getting rocked with terrorist blasts, we are investigating
the horrible terrorist activities that could be happening here. The terrorists
here are not the Arab speaking kind. They don’t follow the preaching’s of the
Quran. No these groups are much worse. They are mothers and fathers and
grandparents the reside in sunny Sacramento California and do the unspeakable
act of questioning our administrations policies.
The National Guard in Sacramento started investigation these protestors,
leaving people with the sense of pre Vietnam protests in the 60’s. Instead of
trying to further protect our nation from the true terrorists we once again turn
on our own people, making it seem more so that Osama has won.
The army is currently investigation the allegations, but we are left to
believe if there is not a cover up brewing. A state senator in California, Joe
Dunn, was starting his own investigation into these actions only to be blocked
by the Army. He is now seeking subpoenas so that the lawmakers of the people,
and not the ones of the Army, can investigate this.
In a time when support for the Iraq war, the War on Terror, and the overall
approval of our President and Congress are at all time lows, actions like these
start making us wonder more so if they really care about the people of this
country. American’s are crying out for truth and justice and they do not answer.
They say history has a tendency to repeat its self, and it seems that may be
the case once again. I myself have said we are coming to a time to protest and
make our voices heard. Now we got National Guard units giving us an eerie sense
of dejavu and a wondering if perhaps that horrid day at Kent State will be
relived.
No longer can we say they hate us for our freedoms, as we see them getting
shred to pieces even more. Our freedom of speech is all but gone, and freedom of
religion is being overshadowed by a growing choke hold of the religious right on
the people of this once great land of freedom.
If the National Guard wants to investigate protestors, then I say we keep
them bust and start organizing protests from sea to shiny sea. We need to show
them that they are not here to police us or hinder our freedoms provided under
the very constitution they take an oath to uphold.
A full investigation must be done into this allegation, and it should not be
limited to a biased view of the Army. It should be conducted by the lawmakers of
this land. If it is not, the American people will stand up and rid ourselves of
this tyrannical regime we now live under!
