Last night in an 11th hour move, the Pentagon
blocked a court order to turn over videos and pictures of the Abu Gharib abuse
scandal.

Editor and Publisher
has an article that sheds light into why this was done.
It was not to obstruct justice, but rather to prevent what could become a major
up rise against US forces.

I suggest that only those with the strong stomachs read the
article. It talks about sodomizing of children, raping of men and woman, and
other horrible acts of abuse. This is truly an unforgivable crime and can make
one realize why we are facing such a increase in insurgencies around the region.

Cases like this need to be punished fully and need to go to
the highest level of command. It doesn’t’ matter if someone was physically
involved or had knowledge. It doesn’t matter what insignia they were on their
uniform. If this kind of abuse was happening to our soldiers we would be
screaming for the heads of those committing it. The standard should not change
because it was our soldiers doing it. As matter of fact, the standard in which
our military operates under should be considerably higher than that of our
enemies.
