The
London Times
is reporting that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has now united rival
gangs under his control in order to bring Iraq into a civil war.

Zarqawi took credit yesterday for the string of bombings
and attacks that left over 160 dead and focused mainly on the Shia. “The
al-Qaeda organization in Mesopotamia is declaring all-out war on the Rafidha [a
pejorative term for Shias], wherever they are in Iraq,” Zarqawi told listeners
in a radio address.

Further speculations believe that if a all out civil war
does occur, it will also cause a rise in foreign fighters to join in forces with
the insurgency.
