More Bad Poll Data For Bush

America is talking but Bush won’t listen. Today he sounded like the usual stuck record while repeating his now infamous catch phrase “We must stay the course in Iraq”. Unfortunately his plan continually calls for more of the same when we are seeing no signs of improvement.

A new CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll just released show a larger majority of people want either a full or partial troop withdrawal immediately.63% of the 818 survey are now calling for that action. Also alarming to the President should be the fact that 54% now want spending cuts in Iraq to help fund Katrina recovery and only 32% think his current actions are right.

The sad side is the people who feel we can not win this war. Only 21% feel we would definitely win, 22% thinks we could possible win, 20 % feel we could win but probably won’t and 34% now feel the war is unwinnable.

Short of an election or a Congress waking up, these numbers mean very little to the President. Hopefully the members of Congress up for re-election next fall will hear this loud warning and decide it is time to start acting.
