Six soldiers were killed in Iraq today bringing the total amount of U.S.
casualties to 2024 according to
icasualties.org.
In the month of October, 91 soldiers have been lost which
makes it the fourth deadliest month since the war started.

The most troubling of this data is the fact that we suffered 46 deaths in the
time leading up to and including the constitution vote. That means we have lost
45 lives since the vote which is an indication that things are not getting
better, and actually they appear to be getting worse.

It was reported last week that we are also at one of the highest troop level
counts since major combat ended. We are now up to 161,000 troops in Iraq. It
seems as though our presence there is actually hindering the recovery more than
helping.

The finish line for our involvement in Iraq seems to be moving further away
and our President and his staff do not have a plausible plan on handling the
situation. It is time he addresses the nation and lets us know what he is going
to do to end this death mission for our soldiers. If not then it is time we get
someone who will answer to their bosses – the American people.
