Three New Orleans police officers were arresting a 64 year old man for public
intoxication when they started beating on him. Camera caught the beating on
tape. Another officer involved also pushed a producer for the Associated Press
into a car and start shouting obscenities at him.

The three officers have now been suspended and arrested according to the

Associated Press.

This is just another example of how New Orleans is failing to recover.
Perhaps more federal assistance should be placed within the city to help secure
it until such time that the town has the viability to survive on its own. With
actions like these occurring it is a certain deterrent for business and
residents to return.

A case like this has the potential of being another Rodney King style case
all over again.
