is paying Iraqi newspapers to print stories written by U.S. soldiers.

“We’re very concerned about the reports. We are seeking more information
from the Pentagon,” said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.

He said Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had
indicated that Pentagon officials are looking into the reports.

“We need to know what the facts are. Gen. Pace indicated it was news to
him as well,” McClellan said.

This should send outrage up and down the halls of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
It has left me wondering what we are hiding in Iraq. Our news outlets here in
the U.S.A. have been accused of publishing “biased reports” that only show the
bad side of Iraq and not the good side. Well if there is a good side then why
don’t our military allow this newly founded sovereign nation to go out and find
the good stories themselves? Instead the Iraqis are stuck with reading
propaganda of good news until they go out and realize they are not in this
fictional world that has been printed about but rather still in Iraq where
suicide bombings and attacks are a part of everyday life.
