But special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald found that Plame had indeed
done “covert work overseas” on counterproliferation matters in the past five
years, and the CIA “was making specific efforts to conceal” her identity,

It is amazing how many on the right tried to come out and say Plame was not
covered under the statue because she was not “covert” or active in the past five
years. Now that argument is laid to rest as the courts had access to documents
none of us did and no one in Washington did. When they try to say she was not
“covert” then they are just dismissing the work one of our spies had done in the
name of partisanship. They must really hate America.
