Imagine that – Bush and the GOP continue to sink.

  • 36% approval for Bush
  • 30% approval for Congress
  • 40% approval for Bush’s foreign policy and the war on terror
  • 35% approval for the handling of Iraq
  • 69% believe the country is headed in the wrong direction
  • 60% of Republicans polled disapprove of Congress

The Republicans and Democrats are now tied with who would be best to handle national security. Each received 41% on that issue, but the Democrats received a healthy boost amongst young men.

And here is the interesting quote from the article:

“These numbers are scary. We’ve lost every advantage we’ve ever had,” GOP pollster Tony Fabrizio said. “The good news is Democrats don’t have much of a plan. The bad news is they may not need one.”

The Democrats do have a plan Tony. They even released a very informative national security plan a couple weeks ago. Funny though, the President rescheduled his speech to overlap the same time the Democrats released that plan. For someone who hates the Media, Bush sure likes to use them like a tool.
