With all but four precincts reporting, Jean Schmidt has been declared the winner of the OH-2 GOP primary. She will be facing Democrat Victoria Wulsin this fall. Wulsin won the Democrat primary with 38% of the votes. There were a total of 5 people on the OH-2 Democrat primary ballot.

Schmidt ended up winning by just over 3,000 votes which is not a very large number considering she is an incumbent. Considering her track record, this could be an easy seat for the Democrats to pick up this fall.
