Christy has a great take on the Rush Limbaugh situation. Having the insight of being a former prosecutor, makes her one of the best to listen to also.

Now I have a couple of things I been thinking about on this. First, let’s look at the known facts on this case:

Rush Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection examined the 55-year-old radio commentator’s luggage after his private plane landed at the airport from the Dominican Republic, said Miller.

So why was Rushy boy in the Dominican Republic with a bottle of boner pills? I have heard no one ask that question yet, but I wonder if it has something to do with this:

“There is always a demand for sex,” said one Dominican prostitute as she lounged at one of the town’s waterfront bars. “Men will always pay for it, especially in here … where they can get anything they want at a discount.”

Indeed, the Dominican Republic is one of the biggest sex tourism destinations in the world, thanks in part to Internet sites that extol the country as a “single man’s paradise.”

Was the leading conservative talk show host on a private trip to get some good old capitalistic style love? If so, he sure hasn’t done a good job at covering it up. That also makes one wonder about his “privacy” concerns, which is his defense in this:

A doctor had prescribed the drug, but it was “labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes,” Roy Black, Limbaugh’s attorney, said in a statement.

So now we got Rush, who we already knew had a drug problem, now worrying about “privacy”. I am no expert, but I got a feeling if this is true then a doctor may be in some trouble.

But what about his “chronic back pain” that lead him to his legal troubles in the beginning? (Anyone who has ever suffered back problems would know, sex can be somewhat painful, not to mention the added time needed to reduce the Viagra bone). Add to that the fact Rush is an avid golfer and it sure sounds like he wants that chronic back pain to stick with him. The Golf Blog by travelgolf.com has an interesting take on this:

Take Rush Limbaugh’s penis, for example. Limbaugh, who works in the radio industry and was a recent subject of a BadGolf.com feature story, was recently detained for nearly four hours at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.

Much like Barry Bonds created controversy by putting up huge numbers at an advanced age, Limbaugh’s situation just feels wrong. Limbaugh is 55, smokes cigars, has a thing for pills, and has had weight issues. He has no business being sexually active, and only raises false expectations in his fans when its alluded to that he’s having Viagra-enhanced sex.

Aside from that, Limbaugh apparently was never taught proper prescription-buying skills, as this is his second run-in regarding improper medication. He could face a second degree misdemeanor violation, but experts point out that he has little to worry about, being a rich, famous, white guy.

So it now looks like Rush not only has problems getting little Rush up, but also has a sick desire to prolong his back pain. This is a sure sign that Rush should be admitted to on site care and rehabilitation.
