Well Bush’s surprise visit to Baghdad yesterday has resulted in Iraqi’s taking to the street. I am sure they are doing that to thank the President for freeing them:

Some 2,000 followers of a radical Shiite cleric staged a noisy demonstration Wednesday in Baghdad to protest the surprise visit to Iraq by President Bush.

Protesters raised Iraqi flags and pictures of the anti-U.S. cleric Muqtada al-Sadr while chanting “Iraq is for Iraqis” and “No, to the occupation.” They also demanded the withdrawal of U.S.-led forces from Iraq as they marched through the northern neighborhood of Kazimiyah.

Hazem al-Araji, an al-Sadr aide, condemned the “ill-fated visit made by the leader of the occupation” in an address to the crowd.

“No, to the occupation” is Iraqi for “Thank you Mr. Bush”. I just learned that in my handy “Iraqi to English translation dictionary” published by FOX news.

Now to be fair, it is the hottest months in Iraq right now. Temperatures stay about 100 degrees and that means flowers can not grow. It also means chocolate will melt. We must not look down on this group for not throwing those. Dead flowers and melted chocolate is a messy sign of death, and these Iraqis would not want to send that kind of message to their savior – George Bush.
